Came here for the first time with my dad after visiting my mom at her resting place, and let me tell you — the service was excellent. Our server, a young guy whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, did not miss a beat. He took our order, and everything came out exactly as requested. No confusion, no “that’s not what I ordered,” just smooth sailing.
The only small complaint: the guacamole bowl was a little too small for the price. I mean, guacamole is sacred… you can’t be stingy with the guac!
Now let’s talk about the real star of the show. Blanca, one of the cooks, made our burritos and wow — they were incredible. Easily some of the best and tastiest burritos my dad and I have had in a long time. It honestly reminded us of the Mexican food we used to enjoy when we lived out in California.
All in all, this place is a hidden gem in the Poolesville area. Great service, amazing food, and definitely worth the stop. Next time I come back, I’ll be making sure to taste test their “Best in town” margaritas for “research purposes,” of course .

When they say “best margaritas in town,” they mean it. My friends and I go quite often for drinks, sometimes eat the guacamole and queso as an appetizer. Also, I loveee the chicken enchiladas. So good. My only complaint, and this might be a me problem, is that the food is extremely heavy, so don’t plan on going out after unless you want to be best friends with the bathroom. Otherwise, delicious food, very sweet employees, and a great place to grab drinks or dinner.

Lackluster in my opinion. It’s definitely not the cleanest looking place. Still we try the queso and it’s broken and not flavorful, chips lacked salt and the salsa was ok. Queso was pricey at $11. I got the taquitos and they were basically one taquitos cut in thirds and covered in toppings. It was not great but what ruined it was getting something inedible inside of one of my chicken taquitos, turns out it was more than likely shrimp shell! Thank goodness I don’t have a shellfish allergy. Eww I just don’t know where it came from!! This place was pretty pricey and it’s a one and done for me based on the taquito debacle. Service was not good either.

Best queso fundida I’ve ever had. Flautas were excellent with very well seasoned chicken. Guacamole and pico de gallo were very fresh too. Rice and beens are always a must and did no disappoint either. No beer on tap but plenty of Mexican lagers and huge margaritas.
Sever was very polite and attentive. Definitely a gem you cannot miss in Poolesville.

Such a rock solid Mexican restaurant! The food and service is excellent and the margheritas are well-balanced crowd pleasers. Their mole is also legit, a real testament to a Mexican restaurant. Their beer cocktail is also fantastic, even to this non-beer drinker.

I have been a long time customer of Mexican grill, but lately the quality of the food and the taste of the food has become inconsistent. At times it can be difficult to get the attention of a waiter, and sometimes the food takes longer than 20 minutes to come out. Menu prices are not current amd they will not honor the prices on the printed menu

Unfortunately I ended up with very bad FOOD POISONING from this establishment. This is the second time I ordered from this restaurant – I ordered the Shrimp Taco Salad both times, but ended up with pretty awful food poisoning the second time. The rest of my family ordered chicken and beef dishes and were okay.
My food tasted just fine, but about 4-5 hours after eating I ended up with severe nausea and then violent vomiting for about 4-5 more hours. It was absolutely terrible. I called the restaurant the next day just to advise them of what happened/ to make sure they discard any shrimp they had on-site so no one else got sick. While they were apologetic, they did not offer a refund. I really didn’t care at that point – I just wanted to be done with the establishment. With that said, it would have been the least they could have done to offer this gesture.
I had my hesitations about the level of cleanliness of the establishment after my first visit, but figured it was okay since now one got sick the first time and we were ordering take-out. I’m all for supporting Poolesville businesses, but can no longer support this one and advise others to use extreme caution eating here.

The reason I’m writing this review is because of the way the staff treated me by charging me $13 when I only ordered two chicken tenders for my son, and the price was supposed to be $8.00. Then the man who charged me said he added $2 more because it was a party, but it wasn’t a party. My son was at a soccer tournament near this place with six other players, and he charged all the dads extra for the food. The food wasn’t even well-prepared. I’m going to try to get the other parents who were there to file a complaint as well.
