New to the area and have been searching for “our” Mexican food spot. We may have found it. Mestio’s food is well-seasoned and served piping hot. Chips are warm and crisp and the salsa is tasty. Sangria topped it all off nicely. We’ll be back to sample the rest of the menu items.

The food was good. The shell on the taco salad tasted like it was cooked in old oil. We sent that back but everything else was good. The street tacos (pork) was very good. A little on the expensive side. It was 60.00 for 2 people without any drinks.

Food was priced too high for serving size, but it was excellent quality. Atmosphere terrible they kept testing a keroki machine on max volume. Also, regular music was way too loud, almost like they had it cranked up for themselves, not the customers.

I ordered chorizo con queso which came with about 7 chips. I asked for more chips and was told I would have to pay $1.99. Bro do you expect me to eat this queso with a spoon? It’s 108° heat index I don’t have time for this tomfoolery. There are a thousand Mexican restaurants in this town, ain’t a chance I’m going back to the one that wants to charge me for extra chips. One of my favorite places in Bellevue to eat! If you have a hankering for Hispanic food while in Bellevue, this is the place to go. I’ve never had a dish I don’t like here and I’ve tried several different things at this point. And their margaritas are fantastic! Love this place!!!!

Don’t go here and waste your money. I took my daughter thinking it was like most of the little Mexican restaurants around (like Los Amigos and Don Panchos). The salsa was very thick and pasty. It didn’t taste good at all. The bowl of cheese dip we got was very small. The food was bland. Our bill for 2 lunch entrees, 2 drinks and a small bowl of cheese was over $44 with tip. It was not even remotely worth that. Drive a little further and find a better place to eat.

I have been here several times and it’s always been great. Unfortunately, the last time I went I ordered tamales and they were awful. Were a dark “burnt” brown and the taste was way off. I also asked for chicken and was served pork/beef (depending on who you asked) with chicken on top. When I inquired, I was told they always come that way. Nope, they never have before waitstaff! Very dissappointed.
