The food was perfect, tasting great. The service itself was lacking. The waitress took our drink order, then promptly forgot to fill it. She did say their computer system was down, but that does not account for poor service. I only got a refill of coffee when they brought our food and asked if we needed anything else. My husband did not even get that.

It is a really cozy country type feeling restaurant slash bar. Smartly redone and remodeled in a historic building sitting right on Main Street. The staff there is fantastic very friendly and warm can usually find the owners there Steve and Linda. Very very fascinating down-to-earth couple very witty and fun to be around. The made-from-scratch food comes in large portions everything is just fantastic you can also get it family style they’ll work with eating do just about whatever you want everything is very reasonably priced just a great evening out

The fried chicken was awesome!!! 4 stars because the Mac and cheese was cold, and it took a really long time for the food….like am hour. But basically it’s a hole in the wall bar that has a dining room. They took reservations for a graduation party, which made it a good choice.

Went here for my reception dinner. Food was great! Service was good. However I didn’t enjoy the rude older lady with short white hair. She was extremely rude. Could not understand how many boxes we wanted after repeating ourselves five times. Showed additude. The. When someone else wanted a box and they asked if anyone else did she stated my mother and I already had some very rudely. My whole table did not like her one bit. You guys would be an amazing restraunt if you got rid of her. Owner was super nice asked how everything was. Again great place I recommend going if she’s not working. All other waiters were amazing. Tips for the lady don’t show additude to the bride and groom.

Fried chicken to die for!!! The rest of their daily specials will not disappoint. The menu items are all top drawer. Have to try the German potato salad side dish. Something for everyone with super service!!

We had great service and great food. We showed up there and surprised them with a group of 25 and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. The service was wonderful. They had more than four TV so the guys could watch sports while we ate and drank.

been there several times to dine always a great staff,food was spectacularly great both breakfast and dinner .our waitress Chris has been our waitress every time and shes excellent and has a great sense of humor while serving us. Cute little country style bar and grill if you’re in the area and you want good food. We took our kids to the Retro Arcade, Back to the 80’s and stopped here after. Very tasty food on a simple homestyle menu.

Their breakfast food is terrible!! Before they changed the place from Gruchalas to Merz, I used to come to this spot all the time but the place has went down hill ever since they took over. If you are looking for any great breakfast spots, check out Aunt Maggie’s down the road. Their breakfast is so much better!!!

Old, small town bar and restaurant has average food. Nice, friendly servers keep local patrons coming back. The interior, especially the restrooms, need a thorough cleaning & major remodel.
