I just realized I’ve been coming to this restaurant 1 to 2 times a year since 2009 and never left a review. This is my absolute favorite restaurant. My continued returns, my every birthday meal visits, and my need to bring guests from out of state should speak for itself, but if it doesn’t… There are classics on the menu and variations based on season. The food is absolutely top notch. I highly recommend the tartare and escargot. I try to fit the vibe if the weather with my entree. The service it’s top notch and a rotating front of house keeps the feel fresh. They don’t lose people because something is lacking. Ever single time I have felt I have under paid for the food and experience, even considering the cost. If you’ve never been don’t miss this wonderful magical place. I will be coming back again and again as long as they remain.

Delicious!! French vibe with a more relaxed atmosphere. Food was very flavorful and fresh! They were able to accommodate an onion allergy and very friendly about it! Service was excellent! We celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect. Loved everything about it! Highly recommend!

Went to Meritage tonight to have dinner with my family. We had reservations, but our table wasn’t available on time. However, staff was apologetic once they could seat us & took our drink order right away. I had the jungle bird cocktail & it was delicious. We had a few appetizers, the braised oxtail strudel was a fav. I had the half chicken & was impressed with how it had crispy skin but the meat was juicy. Unfortunately, right as we were about to leave, a mouse ran from underneath the stools at the bar, around to the back. Bar staff noticed & covered it with a crate of some sort. 3 of the people at my table witnessed it as we were less than 3 feet away. Staff did not address it. I understand we live in MN & ‘tis the season, but it was very off putting to see this after we’d just finished our meal. The thought of what could be happening in the bar, let alone the kitchen made me nauseous. The food, drinks & service were on point, but clearly they have a rodent problem & I will not return.

This is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in the Twin Cities. The staff lets you know they value you, through delicious food and attentive service. Tables seem consistently full whenever I go, so make a reservation. Or, the bar often has space, if you are making last minute plans.

To those who have internal experience. This is an outstanding place to taste French food, oyster and dishes with an original touch. The oysters they recommended me were amazing. As well as the onion soup and the duck leg with crispy skin. I had an excellent Jack Rose crafted drink and a delicious and full bodied Bordeaux wine. This is a category I spot. Fully recommended. Service is world class.

Who doesn’t love a good French restaurant. This is a solid choice. Good for dates or small groups. It was packed by the time we left and we were still able to hold a conversation. Everything was great.

Pull up a chair at the bar! Grab some Dune Buggy oysters and finish with the French Onion Burger and a side of Béarnaise to dip your frites in. Wash all that down with a glass of Bordeaux rouge from the right bank.

The service was amazing. JR is old school and a consummate pro. Never a dry glass nor a dirty hand. Hot towels at the ready and solid recommendations. Super rare these days.

Marissa was also outstanding. Good conversation and bright smile.

Nick the MOD popped by casually and shared a story and a thank you. Nothing like genuine care to round out a good meal.

Great atmosphere, solid food, exemplary service.

If you’re in the Twin Cities, pop by, you won’t be disappointed.

Food was incredible and the staff was amazing. We sat outside, but unfortunately the bugs made it hard to fully enjoy what was otherwise a wonderful $300 meal for two. I’d suggest adding candles or other measures to help keep the insects away. We’ll definitely be back, but next time we’ll be asking for a table inside.

It took ~15-20 minutes for my server to acknowledge me after I was seated. I was comp’ed a scoop of salmon on a chip. I started the meal with lobster cocktail. Not what I expected. It came out as a chilled half tail split lengthwise, not really a lobster cocktail. The salad was a nice way to segue to the entree, lack of lamb. Good but there a scoop of something underneath that wasn’t explained to me. Finished the meal with a chocolate dessert. The highlight of the meal.

Probably the third time I’ve eaten here and without a doubt, the best. The pumpkin soup was one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever eaten. I also was given a complimentary amuse buche and had the duck breast as the main. Everything was exceptional.
