Legit Mexican Market/Mercado. They have a butcher ready and waiting for any sort of cuts you may need customized, produce is mercado’s best. They also have a take-out specialty food, skip Taco Bell, go here, please. They can make and bake whatever you can imagine, much better. Great Asada, Carnitas, Birria,Lingua, Pollo, roja, verde. They sell beer & wine as well. Homemade tamales for any occasion. Order ahead for holidays. You can walk in and order 20 asada taco’s and walkout in hand 10 minutes later with the best in town.

The food here is great for a hole in the wall place. Tacos are delicious and at a great price, I believe it was either $2.25 or $2.50 each. Service is fast.
For groceries, I would shop elsewhere unless you really need something quick. Prices are a bit steep due to the convenience.

If you like street tacos, this is a hidden Gem. You would not expect a full blown taco set up, but they have all the fixings. The portions are huge and the meat is not overly seasoned. You get to taste the freshness of the cuts. I go here pretty often because you get a good price for a hearty dose of deliciousness!!

The carne ranchera marinade here is 2nd to none. Im a big fan and when I want to make carne asada at home, this is where I shop. Otherwise, meat section is OK, but not fabulous either.
Taco/Burrito stand is awesome. If you want authentic street tacos of pastor, carnitas tripsas etc.. this is where you go in Simi. Burritos are big and are two meals really. Simple, but good.

Their hot homemade-like food is the closest I have found to Mexican food, besides the Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles. Awesome prices, fast service, delicious salsas, and so on. You can have a meal to go for under $8.00. I have shopped there for years. Not disappointed once.

It’s Christmas Eve and I doubted that I’d find good tamales so late. But, they had them! And, they are delicious! I also HAD to try the carnitas, and OMG!! So delicious!! The service is outstanding. The staff are friendly. The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to go back and explore the market…and, of course, eat more food!

It’s a small grocery store but in the back of the store, it’s a restaurant, there is no seating you can only order out. The food is great, and authentic. They have great burritos and pretty good tacos,lots of options to choose from. I would recommend getting groceries there and stop by for some tacos.
