I’ve been meaning to get here for some time now and finally made it today, it won’t be the last time! The server was so friendly and sweet. I’m happy that somewhere local actually has Chilaquiles and they did not disappoint! My son got a California Burrito, it’s got fries in it, a big win for kids… but if you order it for them, be prepared for leftovers. The portions are HUGE. We were going to try their flan for dessert, but they were out, waitstaff was so apologetic about it. She brought us out fried ice cream instead. Spot on, delicious. I have a feeling we’ll be back repeatedly and I hope that the community supports this location and helps it to grow & me successful. Check out Mena’s, you’ll be happy that you did!

We tried Mena’s place today after all of the good reviews but we won’t be back. I got the waffle combo, the waffle was hard and dry. It was splitting apart. I also ordered a side of white toast. Didn’t come at first, I reminded the waiter and she said I’ll be right back. 40 mins later I asked again and she said I’ll be back with the French toast. I didn’t order French toast. I again reminded her a side order of white toast. She argued that it didn’t come with my meal, I understand that and told her I wanted that in addition to that. 1 hour later I had enough and we asked for our check. No refills and service as well as food was not good. My daughter liked her food, it was the only thing hot and fresh.

This place was a real surprise for us. The outside is unassuming, but the food is fantastic and the wait staff is awesome. The menu is large, but they make all of the items fantastically.

One of our new friends Mari…is always sharing posts and supporting Mena’s Place so we just had to stop in and try it out! I had the Salmon Ajillo which was absolutely phenomenal! Everything was so flavorful, great presentation, and portion size was perfect! Complimentary clam chowder was the best I have ever had! House margarita with red wine BOGO…sure hit the spot! The chef came out and was taking pictures of creations he made ( one was an omelette and one was this fancy waffle with fruits and whip cream…they let us try it and take it home with us!!) Yes that’s right…a Mexican restaurant that opens at 7am for breakfast and has options on their menu to suite everyone!! The owner also gave us a complimentary margarita they are going to be featuring on their menu soon and it was the most flavorful drink ever! (Spicy passion fruit!) We also got treated to some Don Julio shots from the nicest bartender ever! All the staff are super friendly and attentive! Food and drinks will not disappoint…this is a MUST TRY family owned place in the heart of Kaukauna!

Got a chicken guacamole sandwich with waffle fries and wife got the salad version. Good service and free chips and two dips that were great. Big servings and good prices. Great flavors. A little slow to get served the food but was generous size and was definitely home made. Awesome. Didn’t look like much of a place from the outside, but definitely worth the trip. Will certainly be back.

I got the mushroom and swiss burger with the waffle fries. My wife got the veggie fajitas. The food came hot. My burger had lots of cheese, and the fries were tasty. The catchup bottle was sticky. My wife also go the skinny margarita witch ended up being almost $15. Overall I don’t think the meal was worth the money. We doubt we’ll be back.

I’ve only visited this restaurant twice, but both visits have been great. My wife and I ordered different things each time and were both pleased each time. They have a huge menu. We’ve tried their breakfast, various Mexican dishes, and their fish fry. Everything was cooked to perfection. This place doesn’t seem very packed, but it should be. I also want to mention the prices are very reasonable.
