I really like sunny side up eggs, but almost no one can cook them right. But Mel’s were PERFECT. Friendly service. Great food. Don’t let the outside looks fool you, this is some really good breakfast! Not a huge menu, but what they do have is done right. Will definitely be back for lunch.

On trip Texas to Ohio and back, we went off the interstate a ways to have breakfast here because I like to kinda stay away from the chain restaurants for the most part. Uncle had biscuits and gravy and cleaned the plate! They were out of pork chops and chicken fried steak, but the sausage was very good, the eggs cooked perfectly and the hash browns were the best I’ve had in a very long time! Nice and crispy! Waitress was very nice and from Texas!

One of the best burger and Cajun fries combos you can get around Hot Springs. Some people talk about Ohio Clubs burger, but it doesn’t compare to the ones I’ve gotten from Mel’s. I’m gonna work on trying out the many other items on their menu as soon as I can. It’s worth the trip to the outskirts of town for the great food they have to offer.
