Visiting in Maquoketa…doing some work. It got late, we were starving!!! They closed at 8 and we pulled in at 7:25, debating they are about to close. Didn’t want to be those people!!!
He welcomed us in and made us feel okay about it!! So friendly, great service, DELICIOUS food, great prices. Do stop here!!! So many choices and breakfast all day! A warm and friendly environment.
This is an important restaurant in this town. One hour later on a Friday and Saturday would be awesome. That’s my only thoughts!

First time here and we have lunch 10/17/2025. Good food! Friedly server and staff, beautiful ambience! Perfect place to dine in before or after visiting the Maquoketa Cave.

We had a great breakfast, it was the special 1/2 biscuit and gravy with two eggs for $7.95 and it was yummy. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The staff is super friendly.

Caroline was a wonderful waitress! She was on it! Food was delicious & portions were very generous. Maquoketa cave burger, Gyro burger & appetizer sampler were scrumptious. I used the restroom before leaving & it was clean…y’all could use a purse/coat hook in there though please

What a wonderful experience! We were greeted promptly and had a friendly server. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait a long time despite it being busy with lunch time. The food is your standard American Diner fare, but executed in a fashion that was above average for your typical diner. I will stop by again if in the area. If you haven’t been, and are hungry for what they have on their menu, they deserve at chance at you stopping by.

They serve breakfast all day, a main reason we stopped in. The food was good, and the service was friendly. The restrooms were clean. Very nice place to stop in for a bite.

We stopped in last night. This was our first visit as we are in town from out of state. We had a pretty large to go order. Everyone was very friendly and the food was so good. I’ll probably need another cave burger before I leave. Thank you!

First time eating here. Ruben done very nicely. Fish & chip special was good. Pie and ice cream very good. Clean friendly asphomere. Friendly staff. Only 2 small issues, requested onion rings in lieu of French fries, but did not happen, waitress apologized. 4 percent upcharge for credit cards, so paid cash. Would have rated 5 stars except for these issues.
