On our way to Winter Garden my wife insisted we stopped and grabbed some Nigerian food along the way. The gentleman there was very nice. The food took about 15 mins to prepare (ordered 3 meals) Food was hot and fresh. He was kind enough to give us a few samples of the soups he had that day. All in all. We enjoyed it.

Driving down 13th Street and seen the African Cuisine food truck parked in the parking lot. Me and my husband have been wanting to try their food. My husband is Nigerian and we have been wanting to eat traditional African food so we decided to try it today. Let me say this place DOES NOT disappoint at all!!!! You can taste the traditional African flavors. The owner was so nice and friendly and was patient as we decided what we wanted to order. We ordered the egusi soup with chicken and fufu (pounded yams)…….oh wee it was delicious!!! We could have took it to go or stay there and eat at the table. We decided to eat at the outside table. The ambiance made us feel like we were back in Nigeria eating pounded yams and stew, with the wind blowing through our hair!!! This food was so delicious that we walked away and were so full!!! We will definitely be going back!!!

*Food truck*Bruh!! I have to talk to my ppl on this! Been living in Gainesville for about 5 years and always try the local food gems that we stumble across. Kid u not every single one, my wife has had to add some form of seasoning for her liking, and this was the 1 time she did NOT! Not knocking the other local joints because I get the older clientele can’t handle too much seasoning so y’all keep it neutral. But fam…these ppl can cook!!! Lol jollof rice was made to perfection, with no need to ask for extra sauce. Plus size fufu! And the Banga soup is a new addition to my favorite soups! Quick kick, then a burst of flavor with some of the most tender beef I have had n a looong time from a restaurant/food truck. No drink needed.

I was at school all day and needed a break so, I decided to go to a Mexican restaurant, but saw M&D African Cuisine parked near it and decided to take a chance on a new place of business. I’m so glad I did! They did not have my “go to” dish, but I stepped outside of my comfort zone today and was blown away. The service was friendly, light and warm. The food was full of flavors that my taste buds took a liking to, it also was fresh and hot. I did not have to wait very long neither so, I will be returning. Thank you to the beautiful Nigeruan queen who served me with a smile and let me have a small sample her popular dishes on the menu. #teamNIGERIA

Absolutely incredible Jollof rice. Mike, the owner, is also a blessing. He takes such good care of all of his customers and truly brings the spirit of Nigerian cuisine to the US. I could not possibly express how down to Earth he is. You can taste the love in his food. 10/10 Will come back every chance I get.
