Recently attended a retirement party that was catered and held here. I’ve eaten her before, quite a while as well. The food is always good. This time they had 2 kinds of BBQ, where the owner makes at home and brings in, both types were amazing. The cornbread heaven melt in your mouth delicious. They have a twist on the backed beans as well, with peppers in it, which at 1st I didn’t think I would like, but I ended up getting 3 servings of them, the last time putting over my cornbread. Mmmm. Great southern cooking with a bit of soul. Can’t go wrong here! Food and Service are top knotch!

A throw-back to the days of local Diners. The prices are low (compared to today’s inflated $) but maybe at the expense of quality food. There is also a 20% tip added to each bill; I don’t believe I received 20% service. All of this aside, the hamburgers and breakfast plates looked fabulous! Will have to return to see if my server had an off day and if breakfast is better than lunch.

Was in Richmond visiting a friend that lives across the street from this restaurant. The servers were friendly on a Sunday. The overstuffed omelet was unexpectedly really good even though I usually don’t like peppers in my omelets. I also couldn’t pass up having the cheese grits which was good but could have used a bit more salt. Our server checked on us regularly which was nice and it was cool to be offered a sweet tea for the road! I will definitely come back here for breakfast when I’m in Richmond.

My family of 5 came here the morning after my daughter’s Kindergarten graduation. Our waitress was nice and attentive. She checked on us often without being overbearing. She was patient as we tried to order with 2 picky kids and a wild fidgety toddler. The food was pretty tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the country ham but the biscuits & gravy was SO DELICIOUS. We ordered quite a bit of food and finished pretty much all of it but the ham.

Stop by for breakfast to start the morning. Parking was limited due to workers. So enter the restaurant was quite amazing looking at the old relics and sitting in a wooden booth. Order the summit in which it was good with one exception the egg was still not cook. The service was good the waitress kept checking on us. You will like coming to this restaurant..

Stayed at the Marriott down the street and walked to this yummy breakfast place. Biscuits and grits were delicious. We each had the scramble and I would highly recommend it. My coffee ☕️ was always full and the service was excellent. If you are in Richmond this is a great place to eat.

It’s a solid breakfast restaurant. Went early around 6:30AM, and it was dead. My waitress was nice and attentive. Got the French Toast platter with a side of grits. Food came fast. The home fires were different than I’m used to having them. The coffee was too weak for my taste. Everything else was solid, but nothing to write home about.

Great country style breakfast spot. The pancakes were amazing. Home fries are sliced so you know they are fresh. We ordered a pitcher of mimosa too. Will definitely return. Tip: Go early to avoid crowd or there will be a wait.

I tried this place last week and the food was pretty good. Went back this week and did carry out to take breakfast to my dad for Fathers day. Opened my pork chops and found hair inside of it. Ruined my appetite and breakfast with my dad. Wear hair nets.
