I’m extremely disappointed in the McDonald’s location on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. As a military member, I expect a certain level of quality and service, especially from a well-known brand like McDonald’s.
My recent visit was a letdown. I ordered two quarter pounders, but what I got was alarming. The patty was quite raw, and the burger was thrown haphazardly into the box. It looked like they couldn’t care less.
Employees wearing gloves utilizing their cell phones in between making the food.
For a location serving military personnel, I expect more attention to detail and pride in their work. Raw hamburgers are a serious food safety issue, and the lack of care in preparation is unacceptable.
Details:
– Date: 9/30/2024
– Time: 21:30
– Order: 1631,1633, 1636
– Issues: Raw patty, sloppy presentation
I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses the issues. Until then, I’ll take my business (and my appetite) elsewhere. By reviewing the google and yelp reviews you will see an array of raw burger pictures. I believe management knows that Marines come and go and it’s fast and easy to just get McDonald’s.
Advice to management:
– Ensure proper food handling and cooking procedures
– Train staff to take pride in their work
– Improve quality control measures
Until improvements are made, I would not recommend this location to fellow service members or anyone visiting the base.
*UPDATE:* I hope someone from McDonald’s corporate or the base management reaches out to address these concerns. Service members deserve better.
And I’d like to add they gave me plenty of napkins with my order which was nice.
As a result, civilians are accidentally driving onto a military base, which is a serious safety and legal issue.
This has already caused problems for many people.
There must be a clear warning in Google Maps and other navigation apps stating that this location is on a military base and access is restricted.
Failing to warn customers is irresponsible and puts people at risk for no reason.
