I then asked to speak to the manager who was now helping the girl in the front. I was polite and never raised my voice, but as soon as I asked to speak to the manager, both the employee and manager immediately got an attitude with me and were rude. The employee said “she is right here ma’am in the red.” So I then tried to explained to the manager that I had been in the lobby well before anyone that was currently in there and that I had waited over 20 minutes to get my food, and no one said anything to me again so that I could pay. With an attitude, the manager asked if I had a pick- up and again I said no, I needed to pay for my order. The manager then rudely replied, “that’s why you haven’t gotten your order yet because you haven’t paid.”
I knew that but, how could I pay if no one even acknowledged me for me to pay? How could I pay if they ignored us and were only focused on delivery orders?
The manager then rudely said “they were busy working back there” as if I was not a customer, and as if I was just standing there to bother them. The employees then walked over to the register and with an attitude, she asked me what my order was as if I was bothering her because she had to assist me, and stop packing delivery orders .
I had two fish sandwiches in my order, and they were not ready, so I had to wait additional time for those to ready. Once I finally got my full order, I asked the manager if I could have a free drink for my inconvenience and excess wait time(mind you I spent $15 on one meal and I could easily afford drink). She got visibly upset, rolled her eyes at me and then told me to “have a good day.” She then said “I already apologized and now you want something for free.” Then she kept talking and snatched something off the wall and was acting overly upset and dramatic because I simply asked for a drink to make up for the inconvenience. She kept talking as if I had annoyed her for simply coming into this location to order food. I tried to explain to her that I was not trying to give her a hard time, but the only thing they were doing was throwing delivery orders over the counter and not acknowledging the people who did not have a delivery orders. I am sympathetic to the fact that they were working on Christmas, but why get upset with me over your own mistake? Why work if you are going to have an attitude and take it out on paying customers. I will not be back and I’m sorry I even stopped here. The owner operator has lost my business due to the poor service and bad attitudes of the manager and employee.
I came in for a simple meal—a classic hamburger, a medium Diet Coke, and a chocolate shake—but what I received was so much more. The hamburger was just what I needed: hot, fresh, and made with care. There’s something comforting about that familiar McDonald’s flavor, and this one was done just right. The Diet Coke was perfectly cold and crisp, and the chocolate shake was thick, creamy, and rich—like a little moment of joy in a cup.
But what truly made the visit special was the kindness and warmth of Consuola. She greeted me with a smile that felt genuine and full of heart. Her energy, patience, and attention to detail reminded me that good service is about more than just efficiency—it’s about making people feel seen and cared for, even in a brief interaction. She turned an ordinary stop into something memorable.
Thank you, Consuola, for brightening my day. I’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I’ll be looking for that same smile.
