The Powhatan McDonald’s may be in a new building, but it is still the same awful service. So much so that I will not patronize it again, even though I drive by it virtually every day. If you dine in, there is no one at the counter to take your order. So you were forced to use the self-serve kiosk. Today, after placing my order at the kiosk, I brought the table marker to my table and waited for my food to be brought to me as the kiosk indicated it would be. I sat and sat and sat. Finally, I got up to see what was wrong. My order number did not appear anywhere on the board. So I spoke to someone who appeared to be a manager. She said my food was sitting there on the counter. God knows how long it sat there. I had ordered bottled orange juice. I received a cup of orange juice. I ordered the food to dine in. It was packaged to go. The manager did not apologize for not bringing me the food, did not apologize for letting my food sit on the counter getting cold, and did not apologize for not giving me the bottled orange juice I had ordered. She clearly did not care. So I ate my cold meal in my car. In addition to the consistently lousy service at this location, the dining room once again was filthy. Does corporate have any idea what’s going on in this restaurant? Does it care? I am not going to return to this, or any other McDonald’s, for a long time. Today’s experience could not have been much worse. And the apparent lack of caring by the manager tells me the situation will not get better anytime soon.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but after this experience I feel the need to take the time to. I had an item left out of my order from the day before, so I let them know at the first window when I paid for my current order. The lady at the first window said to tell them at the second window. So I did. They told me they were sorry that if I wanted the item I’d have to pay for it again. It was just a pack of chocolate chip cookies from a $30 order. But, I already paid for it and didn’t receive it, why would I want to pay for it again?? I’ve had numerous issues at this location. Just a couple examples would be a half filled frappe and no cheese on a cheeseburger, there are more. I continued to come because it’s convenient. But I won’t be coming back.

My youngest daughter and my granddaughter love the McDonald’s Cheeseburger Happy Meal. So I go there for them. One with no pickles and the other with pickles. I’m hitting McDonald’s at least three times a week for them and you should see the looks on their face when I walk in. Faces are like bright sunshine…

Don’t use the mobile app at this location. I drove 15 minutes to pick up my food only to find out they weren’t processing online orders at the time. Didn’t offer to refund me my money either. Wasted my lunch break and didn’t have time to get food elsewhere. I’m deleting the app and probably not going to bother with McDonald’s anymore. The food sucks anyway and the only reason I ever ordered from them was getting coupons from the app.

Today I was reminded why I rarely visit this McDonald’s! After giving my order 3 different times to 2 different employees, I pulled up to the window & found that the meal that I ordered was entered as just a sandwich. I corrected this (I thought), paid and pulled to the 2nd window. When I checked my bag, there was only a sandwich in the bag – no fries. I told the employee that I ordered the meal (I didn’t mention that I had actually ordered the meal 4 times!). Her response – “We have you down for a sandwich and a large half sweet/half un-sweet tea”. She had already placed the next order in the window – she clearly had no intention of correcting my order. She never said they only charged you for the meal and the drink – I would have gladly paid the difference to get what I ordered. This employee obviously could not be bothered. Rest assured, they will never be bothered with my business again – I am done! Furthermore, the half sweet/half un-sweet tea that I ordered was sweet/sweet. I can only assume that this employee knew what I wanted more than I knew what I wanted.

Awful experience. Ordered 3 combos, one of which was missing the fries. I explained that fries were missing at the window and the response from the associate was, “You’ll have to come in here and tell that to her then” and then the associate immediately walked away. I sat in my car for a few more minutes before the associate returned with a bag and opened with, “She said she put them all in the bag.” I left at that point, there was only a small fry in the bag she handed me. It was an incredibly awkward and ridiculous interaction.

Nice if you like standing at the counter for 10 minutes with your kid, only to question if you even exist. Not a single staff member would make eye contact, let alone take your order. Walked out and won’t return, which I doubt matters to the garbage management. This place is run by clowns

As someone who works in a fast food restaurant, and has worked in drive thru, I gotta say I was really disappointed with my experience just now with the morning drive thru taker. She kept cutting me off and rushing me to the point I didn’t even get everything I wanted and just kept going “is that everything” after every sentence that left my mouth. While I understand a busy shift, it just makes it disheartening to come here. I get it’s McDonald’s but I’d at least like to not be cut off and rushed through my order. The woman at the window was very polite and quick with my order though.
