Spectacularly friendly staff up front on Wednesday Oct 15 lunch shift. Our first time at McAlister’s in years. All three of us were very, very pleased with the sandwiches and salads we ordered. We’ll definitely return. The atmosphere is fine but it’s hard to give 5 stars to a deli dining room.

Stopped by during a road trip. Floors sticky, bathroom disgusting, and nearly all the tables were not cleaned. Plus it was dead, so no reason to not at least start cleaning. Food took a while, they forgot my wife’s salad dressing and my chili was room temp at best. Also the cashier mumbled a lot, making it very difficult to understand her. I usually love McAllister’s, the location in Gurnee, IL is top notch in service, cleanliness, and food quality as was the location in Glen Allen, VA.

So I just went and ordered my daughter some food from and here Oh helllll no! The turkey and cheese was blah, the macaroni and cheese was TERRIBLE!!! Mushy, cold, just straight up disgusting. I only gave them two stars because every time I eat here my food is amazing but do not buy your children food from here! Smh. And the tea usually is great but not today! And the customer service is always great.

the food is good but when i opened my sandwich i noticed there was no toothpick which was odd but not a big deal but then when i took a bite the toothpick was inside the sandwich? like fully submerged inside the sandwich. i never write bad reviews but this almost seems intentional because i don’t know how someone would accidentally put the toothpick in the middle of the sandwich completely hidden by mistake. kinda scary and could’ve been a lawsuit if i took a bigger bite or if i took a bite from the center instead of the side

Watch out for red hair in your food – I ordered a half sandwich and salad, which was fine, and a Chicken Bacon Ranch potato for my coworker, which she discovered had red hair in it. It’s fine, mistakes happen. I called the restaurant and was only met with a robot and an endlessly ringing phone. I went up to the restaurant and showed the girl up front the food and hair. I can see a girl in the back with red hair who doesn’t have a hair net, and even after being told there was her hair in my food she doesn’t put on a hair net. (No attempt to prevent this from happening in the future, hence the first sentence). No apology was made for having hair in my food and wasting my time on a work day. When I finally get the remade potato, I of course check to see if there’s hair in it since I can see that no one in the back is wearing a hair net. The girl in the front makes a rude remark telling me that there’s no hair in it because she it was remade, even though she failed to catch it the first time so how would you know? Won’t be coming back, terrible customer service and management.

Me n my husband loves to go there for lunch. The spud Max is my favorite along with the chilli. It’s a great combo. The staff is always nice and patient when you can’t decide what you want to eat or want to change up. It’s a cozy place. They also have outside seating as well

Im a regular at McAlister’s Deli, and I wanted to give a huge shout-out to Tyasia James. Every time I come in, Tyasia goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great experience. She’s also
hardworking and always makes sure I have everything I need and want, from extra napkins to a refill on my drink.
She does it all with a smile and without
a single complaint. It’s hard to find someone so dedicated and positive not only to their job but to other people as well
especially in a fast-paced environment.

While in town visiting my parents my sister and I picked up lunch from McAlister’s Deli. It was great to see they have a veggie spud and they also offer a combo meal. We also ordered a Strawberry Lemonade. The grilled chicken sandwich is also a great menu item. This was an enjoyable experience. We will return.
