We went to Mazatlan to enjoy a nice dinner and we were not disappointed. We had been there years ago and wondered if we would find the same great food as we remember. We started with a margarita and michelada. The margarita was just the right blend of tequila and flavor. My michelada was tasty and fun to drink. I often judge a Mexican restaurant by the rice so that was the first bite I took off my plate and knew that I would enjoy the rest of my meal. I ordered the birria burrito and it was phenomenal. He had the molcajete which had a variety of proteins, veggies and salsa.

I ordered chicken tacos and the corn tortillas were saturated in oil and the chicken was dry. Ended up dumping out the filling to mix it with the rice and beans and instead using the tortillas chips but didn’t eat most of it.

Best Mexican Restuarant in Pendleton, OR is MAZATLAN! The Fajitas are amazing and all of us had a wonderful time. Same Chef for 28 years!
