We got seated right away during a lunch rush. Didn’t have to wait for chips and drinks. Everything was clean and quick. Food was great. Something that stood out to me was the hour of digging through trash that an employee did for me after I accidentally through my retainers away. They called me later in the day stating they found my retainers. I couldn’t be more happy with the welcoming and small town feel this restaurant gives. They really care about their customers.

I ordered the molcajete. It’s was good but I have had better. The sauce tasted like spicy ketchup. The portions were big and the food was hot. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.

The best fajitas! I still haven’t found any that I like as much as theirs. The chips and salsa and fried ice cream are amazing too! A meal at Maz never disappoints.

New to area and walked into Mazatlan. The atmosphere was clean, festive and inviting. The servers were attentive and friendly. Ordered a chicken chimichanga, which is my “go to”. The chimichanga was half full of rice and I already had rice and beans on the side so I was a little disappointed.

Everything was absolutely delicious! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were huge. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely come back again!

Went for dinner 27th anniversary with my wife. Had the pitcher of water thrown on the table. Waitress was rude and argued about how to order food???? Yeah we canceled our order and left. On a positive note the chips were good.

The food was okay. Maybe being from California makes me a bit more critical of Mexican food because we have so many down there and know what real authentic Mexican food is like.
I don’t expect perfection, but the shrimp was a bit tough. Clearly not marinated, just thawed, thrown in sauce and cooked a few minutes. The cream sauce was good. My friends said their fish and shrimp was the same (chewy and bland). One other person had chicken and shredded beef which he said was good. I think if we go back I’ll skip the seafood.
As for the shrimp or seafood cocktail… JUST NO (unless your a redneck that doesn’t know any better). It’s just seafood or shrimp thrown in a bowl and they give you a bottle of Hunt’s ketchup… UM… excuse me, that is the laziest shrimp and seafood cocktails I’ve ever seen! An insult to shrimp everywhere. We sent it back. Someone needs to tell the cook get off his culo and do it right. It’s not even hard (mix seafood in a big bowl with tomato sauce, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lemon and lime juice, seeded and diced jalepenos and let it marinate at least an hour). I know they mostly serve gringos, but c’mon now. You know if your abuelita saw that she’d slap the mierda out of you.
Rice had a lot of hard/stale pieces. Not fresh!
Fajitas should be tangy, NOT SWEET like sugar.

We went to Mazatlan to enjoy a nice dinner and we were not disappointed. We had been there years ago and wondered if we would find the same great food as we remember. We started with a margarita and michelada. The margarita was just the right blend of tequila and flavor. My michelada was tasty and fun to drink. I often judge a Mexican restaurant by the rice so that was the first bite I took off my plate and knew that I would enjoy the rest of my meal. I ordered the birria burrito and it was phenomenal. He had the molcajete which had a variety of proteins, veggies and salsa.
