We always eat at Max’s when we come to Hawaii. There was a big party today so we expected a long wait. Nope, we were seated in 5min. Ordered a few min after sitting and waited 5min for our food to come out. It was all nice a hot. There was 8 of us in our group so I was really impressed on the service, speed and freshness of out food. The employees were very friendly.

One of my favorite food – is Filipino food! On Valentine’s Day, my husband and I decided to take our family out instead of just the two of us to Max for a family date night. Our girls couldn’t attend because they already had plans. Max’s is always packed! We dined in and were seated at the corner – my hubby, myself, my baby sister, and my niece. It was only the 5 of us, but we were there to feast! The service was excellent, never had to ask for refills, and we did not wait long for our food, given how busy they were.

Great tasting food. Authentic filipino flavor. Fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff. Eating here makes you feel you’re in the Philippines. Price is very affordable.

This restaurant is also a famous restaurant even back home in the Philippines. They serve Filipino food and their specialty is actually their chicken menu (fried, roasted, etc.) but they added other famous Filipino cuisines to their menu, even back home. It is a good restaurant for foreigners who are interested in trying Filipino food. Don’t forget to eat halo-halo since it’s a staple must-have in any Filipino restaurant. The servers speak Filipino to those who miss speaking the mother tongue. They accept local and foreign credit cards.

Filipino Food was ono! We had sweet tender pork adobo, tasty pansit, healthy chicken palia soup, sweet potato leaf salad & rice. Dessert was fun, nice presentation of their halohalo treat with the little umbrella. Their banana lumpia with ube and macupono icecream made it a sweet memory too. Nice place, clean, large open tables. Perfect for family gathering or office event. Cheerful and helpful service. My regards to their chefs

Good food mostly but I don’t like how most of the food items are made by modifying the original dish and making the meat stupid crispy whenever possible that the meat becomes chewy instead of a savory dish like the bicol express I ordered. Portions are generous. I also did not like how I was neglected in service because I came alone and waited nearly 20 minutes after I was done with my meal with no drink refills or anything and was left alone for 40 minutes total that I had to get up from my table and tell my oblivious waitress that I needed a takeout box.

There were a lot of flies flying around the restaurant that day. Normally, that would just be annoying. But on this day, it became quite a bit more alarming.

I never thought my boyfriend gonna propose to me in front of all our parents and it’s inside my favorite restaurant!!! Good Filipino food as always – Max’s Restaurant, it’s like we never left Philippines. Christmas-themed the inside, good quality customer service, Fast they’re servings. We went there right when they open cause usually there is a line already 10:30am
