First of all, I would like to say I’m highly disappointed in this location because I have never had issues in the past but today I went and ordered a family meal a gallon of lemonade and grilled shrimp and spent $60 at this establishment and I get home and it’s lemonade taste old. It tastes like liquor. It had a weird smell to it. I called and let them know that this lemonade was no good and I asked if I could either get a refund or a new gallon. The man that answers the phone tells me there ain’t nothing they can do so I proceed to the location and tell them what’s going on because I literally just left the drive-through he took the jug to the back and a young lady comes from the back and throws a new gallon of lemonade on the countertop doesn’t apologize or nothing completely ignores me while I’m talking to her, I will not be returning.

Please update your menus. They no longer serve hush puppies, yet it’s still listed on the menu. I had to keep asking the employee questions about the menu because it’s not descriptive enough. I ordered okra and received a couple of large, undercooked clumps of dough.
Surprisingly, the edible parts of the food tasted good. When I first arrived, i wasn’t sure if the business was permanently closed or not because of the exterior of the building.

I got two catfish filled and fries for $5.99. The catfish was excellent seansoned and fluffy melt in your mouth and light. The service was terrible The youngest lady at the counter was mean went to the convenience store and left me there and when I went too ask was a soda stayed looking on her phone like I wasn’t there. That’s why that place is not full because they have excellent food.

I hope this message finds you well. As a long-time patron of Mason’s Chicken & Seafood, I feel compelled to share my recent experience, which unfortunately was far from what I have come to expect from your establishment.

During my visit today, I encountered a situation with one of your staff members that left me deeply unsettled. The young lady who took my order displayed an unprofessional attitude that was surprising and disappointing. Instead of the friendly and welcoming service I’ve always appreciated, I was met with rudeness and dismissiveness. She seemed to ignore my concerns and responded with an extreme attitude, which made my experience quite uncomfortable.

It’s important to emphasize that customer service plays a crucial role in the dining experience. It’s often said that good service can elevate even a mediocre meal, while poor service can overshadow a great one. This incident has caused me to reconsider my frequent visits, as I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of the circumstances.

I hope this feedback encourages a focus on training staff to maintain professionalism and to leave personal issues at the door. I genuinely want to see Mason’s thrive, as I have enjoyed many meals there in the past. Thank you for taking the time to consider my experience; I hope future customers have a much more positive interaction, but as long as you have her as an employee that will never happen. To reference who it was it is the young lady that has the multiple piercings in her bottom lip.

One thing about doing business … great customer service is EVERYTHING. Being that I had a taste for a pork chop and remember that Mason’s had some of the best back when I was in high school I decided to go back. Whoever was working the drive thru TONIGHT, TUESDAY OCTOBER 7TH 2025 has the absolute worst customer service, very bad attitude and is extremely rude for no cause at all. You never know who you’re serving and word of mouth goes far with businesses and can ruin a businesses reputation. I will NEVER return back to this location and as I can see by other reviews that others have had an issue with someone with bad customer service as well. I will be looking forward to speaking to the manager directly regarding the matter because it’s disappointing and unfair to hard workers who are trying to support businesses and their employees aren’t up to par. Whoever that young lady was, I hope she gets the discipline she needs. I will most definitely be putting this experience on my TikTok and I have over 400k followers.

I was getting ready to place an online order and decided to read the reviews 1st . It is extremely disappointing to see a consistent problem and it not being addressed. It’s clear customer service is the main problem here. I didn’t see any comments from the establishment in response. It’s clear the behavior hasn’t been addressed because the reviews are consistent.
If you think you aren’t losing business behind this – YOU ARE! If you cannot have a good attitude while doing your job QUIT. What’s worse???? The owner wouldn’t like being treated this way but doesn’t mind you being treated this way. No thanks.… thank you review writers.

I’ve gone to the Mason’s on Hampton Rd in Desoto and had far better service than this one. I ordered 2 of their catfish plates in the drivethrough. After having to wait for around 12 minutes with not a single other car on the parking lot I was finally given my food. Upon getting home I discovered that neither the fries nor the fish had nearly ANY SEASONING AT ALL on them. Largely disappointing, never go to this location unless you have to.
