Absolutely stunning Indian fusion brunch here! This was one of our favorite meals of our Portland trip by far, and we had some pretty good meals in general. The burrata bowl was the popular favorite but the hash and chickpea savory waffles were also so, so good. Everything was spicy, flavorful, and satisfying. All three iced tea drinks we tried were also so refreshing and the perfect level of subtle sweetness. Looking forward to coming back 🙂

I can not remember a breakfast I enjoyed more than the one I ate here. Sincerely. Everything was perfectly cooked, impeccably seasoned, and the flavor was out of this world. I ordered the Chaat Hash with a cardamom old fashioned. My partner ordered the Poha Fried Lamb with the Masala Mary. Every sip, nibble, and swallow was a delight. I can not wait to visit Portland and eat here again.

My new go to Brunch place in Portland, OR. Oh my god, I was so excited when I searched for Indian brunch and finally found a fusion place. Everything about this place is great, from food to service to ambiance. You won’t be disappointed. If only me and my husband could order everything on the menu, we would have. But anyway, we ordered the Bhurji bhrata bowl and saagshuka. Both of them have their Indian touch to it, right amount spices- not making it too desi (Hindi word for Indian) and served with a toast. The spinach curry in the saagshuka wasn’t too overpowering – it blended very well with the eggs and toast. Don’t forget to get their chai – I have never had chai with coconut milk and this one definitely exceeded my expectations. It is a little pricey but I think a very unique and flavorful experience.

i’m always a bit wary of fusion food but this place nailed it – pakora/ chana (chickpea) waffles were superb, so were the bhurji burrata bowl and they were decent portions. the chaat (great flavors ) hash with cubes of house smoked bacon was mouth watering, and had a very filling portion. staff were nice and communicative and the decor is lively, all yhe elements worked really well together.

Dreamiest brunch ever- shrimp and grits won over the chicken and waffles. My shrimp tasted like a house mole my Abuelita could have made. The grits were so creamy and I really appreciated the plating, too. Definitely the best greens I have had yet.

I was constantly lit up by the diversity of textures and flavors at Masala Lab. We had the pakora waffle, chaat hash, and chai. For the waffle I loved the mix of savory chickpea flour and mild sweetness from the tamarind chutney and yogurt. Perfect crispy texture. For the chaat hash, every bite was full of surprises. The crispy potatoes and smoky tempeh sat on braised greens, pickled chilis, and a date chutney, so I never knew what the next taste would hold. Ambiance was very peaceful and friendly — bright light and very soft upbeat radio indie.

My favorite new brunch spot. It’s a fast-casual restaurant with really cute lights and plants making the tall ceilings seem homey and inviting.

A bold brunch spot that is sublimely instagrammable. The menu is small, so we ordered a lot of it. The flavors are intense & there are a lot of peppers & jalapeños. Honestly, it wasn’t for me. The chai is v coconuty hot; good iced. No wait at 10 am on a Sunday!

Great brunch restaurant! Fun atmosphere, chill staff and the food was delish. We asked for Gluten Free options and the staff said that their entire kitchen is gluten free (amazing right!!!?)

My friends and I came here for brunch on a Thursday and quickly got a seat and ordered our food. The food is incredible and the staff are all super friendly. I enjoyed the Chaat Hash, which is probably one of the best breakfast hashes I’ve ever had. The flavors are so multifaceted and bright. Also my friend had the Masala Mary and it was such a unique tasting Bloody Mary—the flavors did not miss. I am already looking forward to dining here again and bringing all my friends!
