2 people. $150 worth of food. Steamed shrimp came out undercooked and pretty hard. Crab pretzel was burnt making the taste not all that great. Crab cakes were not 6oz. Mac n cheese came out cold. So much cheese on the Chesapeake fries they tasted like grilled cheese more then any old bay flavor. Seriously disappointed probably will not return for anything. You can go anywhere else and get better

Jada and the hostess were excellent. Quickly seated. I am talkative and my waitress did a great job dealing with conversational nature. Yes I work in communication, and with customers. Salmon (ginger/honey) adapted for my KETO lifestyle.. sauce not on fish..they set it aside. Side of Broccoli and Cole slaw. Good vibes from staff and other customers. From my observation of table service, servers were detailed and meeting customers needs. Littlestown Pike 97 North of Westminster A ⭐ Star shiny with culinary delights and super customer service. Stop in and save room for some cheese cake….mmmm

My wife and I gather with extended family members at the Mallet once or twice a month for a late lunch/early dinner. We are all discerning dinners having lived and worked in urban centers on the east coast including NYC, and elsewhere. We all agree that we are never disappointed at Maryland Mallet. I also meet a close friend there for lunch about every four weeks that focuses on a dozen raw oysters each and something else to go along with that always delicious delicacy. We sit in the comfortable bar area and we are always well taken care for regardless of how crwded they are. My compliments to the management who truely cares about delivering consistent quality and friendly service. And though we have always had good service, I extend a special thanks to Stevie, a superb server, who has an uncanny knack for being attentive and responsive at just the right time, every time.

This review is for the downstairs bar and seating area. I’ll review the upstairs dining area next time.
We got in at 11am right at opening. An hour and a half later and it was busy with almost all the tables were full. Bartender was very knowledgeable on drinks and the menu. We ordered the salmon and the bbq burger. Food came out nice, hot and quick all cooked to perfection. The downstairs is better suited for small parties up to 4 to sit comfortably. Upstairs has more variation on seating arrangements to accommodate 2- more.

Ordered 1/2 bushel of Mallet, quart of Maryland crab soup and a quart of cream of crab soup for Carry Out. The soups were delicious. The crabs were supposed to be all large, once we got to the middle there were smaller size. That was depressing since I drove an hour and paid alot of money. They were full for the most part. They had a good taste to them. When you pay for all large then you should of gotten all large.

For the 3rd time of my husband and I both getting the captain’s platter, after requesting that our waitress let the kitchen know not to over fry our seafood, dinners arrived over fried especially the fish which was fried so hard we couldn’t cut it. Fries were so overfried, couldn’t even eat them. Best thing on our platter was the 2 little crab balls and Cole slaw. What part doesn’t the kitchen get when asked not to over fry? Probably our last visit.

We have passed Maryland Mallet dozens if times coming home from Pennsylvania. The restaurant is much bigger then it looks. Service was great, food was delicious, i got the shrimp and grits which was very good, hot honey was an interesting twist. My wife ordered the salmon, she said it was amazing. We will be back to try more of the menu next time we are in the area.

We went on a Saturday around 3:00. There was no wait and the server came over very quickly. I forgot to take pictures but we got the crab pretzel which was pretty big and the pretzel was delicious. The pretzel had a little bit of lite char on the bottom and it added another layer of flavor. I highly recommend it. For our entrees, he got a Rachel and I got a crab cake entree. Both of our entrees were delicious as were the generous sides. He got fries, and I got broccoli and red mashed potatoes. The restaurant was not overly crowded and the bathrooms were very clean. There’s plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Highly recommend!

We stopped in on a Saturday late evening for a lite dinner. We sat at the bar and had side salads and mussels. Both were good. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The table area on the bar side was pretty full. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively. Parking is next to the building and was easy.
