I went here for the first time today. It was during the buffet hours, which was a pleasant surprise. The coleslaw was absolutely fantastic and had a very strong flavor to it. I also got the burnt ends which were just as delicious, especially paired with the BBQ sauce. I also had some of the fried chicken, which was put out fresh shortly before I arrived. As you can probably guess, it was delicious, crispy, and hot. Would go again!

Great meal! I ordered brisket, cabbage and mac&cheese. In error I received the collar greens. They gave me a big bowl of mac&cheese, which was more baked and dry just as I like it. Glad I tried the greens because they were so good! I usually don’t order greens but now I will have to try them elsewhere to see if they even compare! Coming from Bellevue, I would almost drive there again for the same meal. Bf was also very pleased with his pulled pork, beans and fries.

Absolutely delicious food! Just moved up here from Georgia and I’ve been missing my southern fried chicken. Got the chicken and waffles plate as well as the ribs plate. Both were terrific, but that chicken was out of this world! Everyone inside was so kind and welcoming, really good reminder of southern hospitality that you don’t see in Nebraska often!

Just had dinner at Mary Ellen’s for the first time and it was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Food is absolutely perfection and delicious. You cannot go wrong with any entree/ sides you choose. And the staff is so kind!!! If I could rate higher I would!! Great place!

Went twice in 3 days. The wings are delicious, the short rib was like a dinosaur rib! (Very good). This is the only place I’ve had collared greens that I’ve enjoyed (and I’ve spent a lot of time in the south)

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Mary Ellen’s! All of the staff from the register to kitchen were very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t believe the deal I got either with five ribs, perfect beans, and some great mac & cheese for only $20. Wish I lived closer and could visit more often!

Had heard so many good things about this place so we thought that we would try it out for the first time. The man that took our order was rude as could be. He acted as if taking our order was just putting him out. The menu on the website shows pulled pork but they didnt have it on the menu inside. I got the vibe that he didnt care for white people very much. After spending alot of money for what is suppose to be really good food they still got my order wrong! Definitely dont recommend this place. Famous Dave’s was alot better and cheaper! Zero kid friendliness… not even a high chair. Because you have to give 1 star that’s all I’m giving! Too bad theres not an option for zero!
