It is with a heavy heart that I give this rating. Marley Spoon has the best array of healthy delicious recipes of the 3 meal kits we’ve tried. Unfortunately it is the only one that has sent spoiled ingredients multiple times. We canceled our subscription for several months because of several weeks of receiving spoiled ingredients and just getting a $5 refund each time. After several months with 2 other meal kits we decided to give Marley another try. We figured they would have resolved the supply issue. We got the first box this week and the green beans for the first recipe were moldy. I couldn’t get customer service on the line. I submitted an electronic ticket with pictures of the spoiled ingredient. I haven’t heard back. If this is not fixed we’ll need to cancel again.

Made the sesame broccoli shrimp on rice this past weekend. It tasted every bit as good as it looks. It was one of the simpler meals to put together. Some of the meals are a lot of work and get too “messy” but the outcome is always worth it! Bon appetite!

My food never arrived and I had company coming. When we are in McCall Idaho we always have delayed deliveries with our food and 3 times it has been undeliverable. The logistics of FedEx from Tracy, California to McCall, Idaho does not work. It gets delayed in north Salt Lake for approximately 46 hours which is two days. If the logistics of this cannot be solved, I will not be ordering any Marley Spoon while we are in McCall Idaho in the future.

I’ve had three orders of Marley Spoon and my kids and I love it. I’m finding the joy in cooking again and I am officially out of my busy school/work week cooking misery food rut. This is a vegetarian Indian dish called Aloo Chaat. The flavor melody was nuanced, layered and delicious. I’m a forever fan.

I’ve tried a lot of box meal deliveries and this is one of the best. It’s amazing how easy it is to accommodate dietary preferences. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. And the vegetarian aren’t all full of dairy (which we tend to avoid). Also easy to sub chicken for beef recipes or plant based proteins for meat recipes. The recipes are solid – fairly normal dishes but rockstar results. Our fav so far was the shrimp fried rice. Best fried rice we’d ever had. Not overly soy nor greasy but still flavorful and satisfying. They also use less packaging than some of the competitors which we appreciate.

I have tried most of the meal box companies and this one is by far the worst. Their customer service is truly awful. If you have a problem they just send a scripted email and never get back to you. No care about customer satisfaction at all. Customer beware.
I would also like to add that this is our second time trying this company hoping they had resolved the issues from the first time we tried them a couple of years ago. No such luck. One box didnt arrive, one box came with spoiled ingredients and the third with no recipe cards. You would think that my money would be returned for the furst two. Nope. Just a credit less than what I had spent and a scripted email promising that they would get back to me and never did.

I started with Plated and used Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, Green Chef and some others. Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon is currently much better than the others for me. Recipes are great. Ingredients are mostly fresh as opposed to processed and I enjoy cooking the recipes.

I’m hooked! Food is excellent. Meals pretty simple to cook. Tons of weekly options. Makes me feel like a chef! Wife is super pleased too! Highly recommended. Nothing has been bad. All meals have been good. Some better of course but every meal has been good while some have been amazing

Great recipes, but Marley Spoon could really improve their quality control of packing completeness. I’ve unfortunately had random ingredients missing from my order a few times, especially recently. Marley Spoon always refunds a portion of the meal cost incredibly quickly and easily, but I waste time with a trip to the grocery store, which defeats one of the most appealing purposes of dinner delivery services. Please improve, Marley Spoon! Otherwise, you’re great!

I really like this service. I don’t have time to shop, but I enjoy cooking. One of the biggest highlights is the variety—not just a break from my usual meals, many surprising dishes I would never have thought to make on my own. Even familiar meals are dressed up in ways that feel new. I’ve cooked everything from étouffée to vegan Indian dishes, all of them yummy and impressive (but not “hard”). I love it that there are no leftovers, nothing is wasted, every ingredient gets used.
