We went here on a Saturday evening and were seated at the bar immediately as the entire place was pretty much packed around 5.30. The service was a little bit slow as I could tell they were a bit short staffed. The food was good, but the portion sizes seem a bit on the smaller side for the price. The only complaint that I have is that the wings just didn’t feel fresh. I definitely recommend trying the place !

Soooo for a restaurant in Johnson VT i was pleasantly surprised. Service was cheerful and good. Restaurant was bright and clean. Food was above average especially for this little town. We tried the dahl soup and the chicken curry and chicken tandoori. Both are simple cream dishes with vegetables however the spices were well portioned being not mild or to spicy. Presentation was nice too. The naan bread was a little doughy but good. With the amount of sauce in the dishes i would provide more naan or office as side dish with different flavors. Overall B+

Had a great time having dinner with my partner! Excellent menu options and specials. The environment was clean, easy going, diverse, and accepting. I have a quite a few allergies and they did everything they could to accommodate us. Looking forward to trying more on their menu, and treating ourselves to a Chimichanga, Johnson Mule and Coconut Flan again

Shout out to Ethan, Hazen, and Etta!

Marsala Salsa was always the most special restaurant that my family loved going to in Waterbury. Its reopening in Johnson years later is truly a dream come true. The success can clearly be attributed to Jan, the chef and expert business owner who is passionate about creating a variety of authentic dishes using only the freshest ingredients. Additionally, the kind staff members, warm atmosphere, and key lime pie have me counting down the days until I get to go again!

This is the old Beard hardware store location. They’ve transitioned a few times, most notably to “The Hub”, there might have been something between the current establishment and that but it is a massive disappointment. Any naan you get is going to be about the size of a coaster and directly from a freezer, the shrimp will taste like whatever is fried in, and that’s it. My most recent order was for the tandoori chicken which was very dry, flavorless chicken and canned veggies in old rice. Seemed like a full bar but only three of the beer taps (out of six or eight) were operational. Considering the quality shortcomings the price is definitely worth mentioning. I haven’t run the numbers personally but I would guess this is the lowest quality/ highest expense location within a 45 min drive.

Honestly the food is incredible, delicious and extremely well priced. It’s a great place for families, friends gathering for drinks, company gatherings or just a date night. We plan on coming to Johnson’s more often because of the food at Marsala Salsa.

Johnson has a wonderful new restaurant. The menu is eclectic and interesting. It has Mexican, Jamaican, and Indian. I attached a picture of part of the menu.

I sat at the bar. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the Shrimp Sagg Curry. The food was served nice and hot. The Shrimp, sagg and rice were fantastic. Also, I loved the cute little Nan bread.

The dining room is colorful and a touch rustic. A few decorative sombreros on the wall and objects on the wall.

The leaves are starting to change in Northern, Vermont. This dinner was a nice end to a day driving through the beautiful mountains. I look forward to stopping in again to try other dishes.

Service was SLOW. We came just after 7pm on a Saturday. It was slightly busy, but also appears there were only a couple people working. Our server was nice, however.

Food options are definitely an interesting mix of Italian, Mexican and Caribbean. Our appetizer of chips and salsa took much longer than it should have to make it to the table.

Drinks took awhile to make it to the table, including the complementary water.

Overall, unimpressed with this place. Timeliness of getting a table, to getting our order taken, to getting anything on table took way too long and definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Friendly staff but nearly $100 for a modest dinner is excessive. The brown chicken was a bit weird and sweet. Husband got the special – it was good but found out it was $30 when the bill came! A $30 plate cannot be mostly rice and beans. Again, staff were attentive and friendly but it doesn’t balance out the cost for what you get.
