Just had lunch at Mark’s. They have the best fish on Dixie! Got the $10 lunch special. (Other items are on the lunch specials). Food was hot, delicious, and fast. Server, Amy was friendly, smiling, and very attentive. You have to try it, whether it’s Lent or not!

We came in on a Tuesday night
Wasn’t very crowded for dinner hours “7pm”
Plenty of parking and seating.
Restaurant was kept very clean including the bathroom.
Waitress was very sweet and attentive.
Prices were very reasonable.
Friend and I tried the fried pickles always a great choice.
I ordered the salmon burger with chicken pasta
Was definitely cooked to perfection along with presentation.
My friend ordered a brisket sandwich
The meat was nice thick chunks and he said was a little dry but it accented the smoked taste he had a side of French Fries he said both were 10/10 definitely would order again. I enjoyed dinner so much I decided to get desert I ordered the Buttermilk Crunch for it was served in a cup nice cold vanilla ice cream on the top and pie and nice warm pie on the bottom. Was very impressed with this place. If my travels every bring me back this way I definitely will be trying more on there menu.

Service and food was excellent. Open friendly atmosphere. Very family oriented. My rowdy active kids were made to feel comfortable and welcomed. I have only been here twice. Once wit the kids and on e as a date night and both times the place matched the occasion.

Mark’s Feed Store: proof that BBQ joints really do know how to throw a party. Who knew the secret ingredient to a perfect Halloween bash was smoke, sauce, and a crowd that actually knows how to have fun? While other restaurants are busy being “atmospheric” with their mood lighting and pretentious plating, Mark’s just goes ahead and nails the whole “good food, good vibes, good times” trifecta without breaking a sweat. The Halloween party was the kind of wonderfully chaotic energy you’d expect from a place that’s equally comfortable serving ribs and hosting a costume contest. It’s like they said “what if we just made people ridiculously happy?” and then actually did it. Revolutionary concept, honestly. If all BBQ joints had this much personality, we’d never eat anywhere else.

330 on Saturday afternoon. Dining room less than half full tables left unbussed.
No one at the hostess desk… Group of 10 walks in … We walk in just 2 of us…And then a party of three walks in
Two employees apparently just finishing break in the bar area
A couple employees keep peeking out the kitchen door… No one ever comes out…
After about 10 to 15 minutes, we figure we better go elsewhere. It doesn’t look like anybody’s planning on working today… besides peeping out of the kitchen

Sad thing is this has always been the best Marks store location in the chain

Maybe this was just a bad day… But it was a really bad day… We chose another option

I can’t describe the amazingness of the food. Get the #1 platter, you won’t be disappointed. The wierd honey wings were incredible. I’m not big into wings. I’d make the drive here just for those. Pork was great. We liked our ribs, they fell off the bone. I tried an upgraded corn which wasn’t healthy at all but I would die happy…
Kid friendly menus and crayons. Love it.

We visited during burger week. Mark’s burger will forever be our favorite, and we wish that they would keep it on their menu.
They weren’t extremely busy, yet I asked for a refill twice, and our server never brought it.

The beef brisket had some large pieces of fat on it. It was tender and a ok flavor. The spicy fries had a good flavor. Table service was fast but not super friendly. I’ve been here twice its not a bad experience.

Update 09/2023 For some reason, an order of fries has become really skimpy, and usually cold. 90% of the time we have to ask for some fresh, hot fries. I’m taking back a star since this has happened too often.

Always good. The hard part is choosing what I want. I like almost everything on the menu. They have really good salads and sides. The burgoo is worth a trip by itself. The meat is good, but I would prefer a bit more smoke in it.

Ordered a BBQ meal from the online takeout menu. When I got there to pick it up, I asked politely if the $20 takeout meal came with a drink. I was told, “No, we’re not that nice,” with a smiley but condescending tone from the lady at the counter. Tried to keep it friendly, and got cut off mid-reply with a snarky, “Yeah, we’re not fast food.”

Guess you’re not customer service either.

On top of the attitude, the food didn’t make up for it. Brisket was dry, mac and cheese smelled off, and the beans were watery. Total waste of money. Won’t be back.
