Day-um, Cecil! Way to whip up a tasty batch. We drove to Deridder from Lake Charles to give this place a try, and it will now be on the rotation of favorite places to go. Everything was excellent the food, the service, even my mixed drink was divine! The steak was cooked to perfection, the red beans & rice were richly flavored, and s anytime I get asked how I want my burger cooked, I’m in because it means that’s fresh beef. Oh, and it’s it necessary to put cinnamon & sugar on sweet potatoes? No, but is it a welcome surprise? You bet it is!

One of my 84 year old mother’s favorite places to eat. She lives in New Llano. My wife and I are from Texas and went there with her for the first time yesterday. Food and service were excellent. Very fair prices. Friendly staff. Will definitely go back in the future. Highly recommend.

Their fried mushrooms are delicious! Ive also tried their mozzarella sticks and fried asparagus. I wasn’t a fan of the fried asparagus because thats not typically how I eat them.
The ragin Cajun burger is my favorite and I get it almost every time!! The wait is hardly ever a wait and ive never had a bad experience with any waitresses. Sometimes they have live music but I dont know the schedule for them.

Took my family out for dinner here, the food was decent but my steak was terribly over cooked. I ordered medium rare and was served well done at best. I don’t believe in sending food back because that’s wasteful. Hopefully it’ll be better next time!

Our first time at Cecil’s was absolutely perfect. We asked the staff what we should order and she walked us through the whole menu. We got the boudin egg rolls, which are cheesy and delicious. Pro tip: add Cecil’s seasoning to their ranch sauce. Gives it an awesome kick!! Ragin Cajun burger was tasty, but the shrimp n grits are absolutely stellar!! So good guys, thanks!!
