I am relieved that any negative reviews I read from before did not ring true when my friend and I went today for brunch. I got steak and eggs and she got stuffed French toast. Both were perfect, and the service was lovely as well. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Mason City. Beautiful hotel, nice people!

My wife and I stopped through here and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The Gnudi Alla Gricia is a must-have as far as appetizers here go. It was scrumptious and unexpected! I wanted the Beef Wellington (sad face) but they had just sold the last one so I settled on a T-bone which was excellent. The side of whipped potato and Brussel sprouts was a perfect accompaniment. My wife got the fish (trout I think) which was also perfectly cooked. Finally, the warm chocolate chip brownie was the perfect sweet finish.

We ate outside on the plaza, loved the outside seating. Food was good. Service was great. Some items seem a bit overpriced but we liked the food we had.

We were seated on the patio with amazing weather, they have a special server just for outdoor, she was wonderful!

Not what I expected from a restaurant associated with a Frank Lloyd Wright hotel. The people at the next table received their salad with a bug in it – to start off our experience. We ordered a charcuterie tray that was unimaginative and bland. Wait staff had no idea what was even included on it. The ribeye was thin, dry and unfavorable. Ordered med rare and got well done. Mashed potatoes were unappealing. The bread was sliced paper thin, unfavorable and inadequate. Embarrassed that we took guests there. Will not be returning to this place.

While the service was good, the food was disappointing and not what we expected. My husband loved his Old Fashion. The truffle fries and my fries were good, but our fried chicken sandwich was over fried…and on the dry side. We also ordered the “season vegetables” which were carrots with some

What could be better than excellent steak and chops? Excellent Tomahawk Pork Chop. Well seasoned and juicy rather than dry. Will be back again!

Went here with some co-workers, and at first, it was great all up until the main food arrived. One co-worker had an allergy, and the chef even came out to inform him of an impossibility with his order so he could change it. Even the apatizers were amazing, especially the cheese curds. The atmosphere was also amazing. But for the love of all things, holy don’t order the steak. The co-worker who got it without the whiskey butter said it was fine, but for the rest of us, the flavor was akin to soggy cardboard. It was the only steak on the menu, so I can not in good will give anything higher than one star for food, with the only steak being worse than the worst Applebee’s.
