I’m what’s called a “regular” at Marketplace. I have never been disappointed with the food, the atmosphere or the service, but I must say that today the special offering was outstanding! As I walked in, the menu was being posted, with the last item Salade Nicoise! The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors did not disappoint. Another special day in Wiscasset!

Ordered the eggs benedict with home fries. Service was friendly, food took a long time to come out. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the Hollandaise sauce was absolutely delicious, ham and English muffins were both toasted nicely. Potatoes unfortunately were cold, dry, and unseasoned.

we came for breakfast because online there is a photo of breakfast and the title says its a breakfast restaurant. The 1st things they say is, you know you can’t have breakfast after 11 right? Mayne change your advertising online to reflect this, or maybe if that many people want breakfast after 11 you should adjust accordingly.
I will say the waitress was very nice, but that doesn’t mean anything when I’m the place is at half capacity and it takes 44 minutes for a steak and cheese and turkey club.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs unless you’ve got all day. The food was below average at best and I’m pretty upset that I wasted all this time for a below average meal. not sure what the issue is but totally unacceptable to wait that long

So, on the road, we were hungry for breakfast and saw this little quaint place. Market Cafe is a big hit for those on the road, and wanna stop for breakfast. Fantastic customer service. Real down home cooking. The pancakes were very tasty. The Keilbasa, 2 eggs, toast, and cubed potatoes at $11.95 were very reasonable. Great New England coffee. Great customer service. Great talk with the locals.

We wanted to try it out being out of town and just moving here and we ordered. Two other people one who came in right after us and another dad and kids came in 5 minutes after both got their food before us. It hit the 20 minutes mark and still no food out. The server lied to the other worker saying the other two tables came in before us which was not true. This seems to be a local restaurant where they take care of the locals first. Do not recommend if you aren’t from here.

Small town Local Cafe on Westport Island that has your usual breakfast food. The pancakes tasted like Mom made them, the waitress was a Sweetheart, lots of Veterans and very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend this place if your ever out on Westport Island, Maine!! ☕⚓
