We had the absolute best experience at Market Street Prime. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt elevated — classy, intimate, and perfect for a special night out. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and every plate that came to the table looked like a work of art.
Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can truly tell they focus on quality ingredients and attention to detail. The drinks were just as impressive — perfectly crafted and the perfect complement to the meal.

I’ve eaten at Market Street Prime four times in the past couple of months, and every single visit has been nothing short of outstanding. From start to finish, the experience is phenomenal.
The chicken cordon bleu is perfection—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The desserts are heavenly (I’ve tried a few, and they never miss), and don’t even get me started on the rolls and the palate cleanser—both are little highlights that make the meal feel extra special.

We went for our Anniversary. It was very cozy and the food was excellent. There was plenty of food. We could have shared a side. We also received a free dessert because it was our anniversary. The Red Velvet Cheesecake was amazing.
My steak and my husband’s Chicken Cordon Blue were made to perfection.

Wow! Best dinner I have ever had in Zanesville. Steak was perfect, Sea Bass was amazing, and the brussel sprouts were to die for. So happy to have such a great place to enjoy wonderful food. And yes it was so good that I ate both the sea bass and the filet in one sitting. We used to drive to Columbus for a good steakhouse but no need to anymore. If you haven’t been here you need to make it a priority.

Me and my buddy were on Google trying to find a place to eat for the evening. There’s not a whole lot around Zanesville. We found Market Street Prime and were blown away the second we walked in. Very classy joint, very well decorated and we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding. The dry aged tomahawk cooked to medium perfection literally melted in your mouth. The raspberry sorbet to cleanse the palette before was perfect. Not one upscale steakhouse I’ve been too has ever done that. Such a unique touch. The whiskey glazed carrots and the wrapped asparagus with balsamic on top were both wonderful. The Mac and cheese don’t even get me started. 6 cheeses really set it apart. I’m so glad we stumbled upon this place you won’t find anything like it around here ! Will be back time and time again ! The owner Jim was a very nice guy and very down to earth. Based on my interaction with him I will always recommend this place for any occasion !

First visit to the Market Street Prime, formerly Old Market House, in Zanesville. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and shown to our booth. The new look struck us right away, the design was fresh and clean while still maintaining the charm of the past. It was very consistent with the look of a high end steakhouse. Our server greeted us explained a few features about the menu and the wine list then went to get waters. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and a bottle of Caymus. The menu is very well layed out and simple to follow. After some bread service which was fantastic we received the app which was equally tasty. Our table of four ordered petite filets, NYstrip and rigatoni for entrees as well as some shareable sides. The steaks were of great quality and cooked perfectly while the rigatoni was spot on. The sides definitely lived up to the best steakhouse sides we have had in the past. I could go on but you get the picture. This is truly a gem for the area and wish much success for the future. We will be back!

I have to give this place a 5 star. I have been to dinner here on 3 separate occasions and each time the food was exceptional. The first dinner I had the cowboy ribeye steak . It was easily the best steak I have ever had. I also highly recomend the cordon bleu chicken. The desserts are to die for. Everytime I leave Im beyond stuffed because of the overly large portions. The price truly does reflect the outstanding quality of the food. The drinks are reasonable and strong. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The staff is also very friendly and professional. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I am making this a monthly stop.

Fantastic addition to downtown Zanesville! I have visited three times since they opened about a month and a half ago and the service is always professional and friendly, the atmosphere is classy but also relaxed, and the food is excellent! I have ordered off of both the dinner menu and the lounge menu. They offer a very well rounded selection for different dietary preferences so there is something for everyone. I have tried most of the pasta dishes and they were all fantastic. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the mushroom ravioli. The blue devil sandwich was cook cooked to perfection. The stuffed zucchini, ratatouille was absolutely delicious! Oh, and the mediterranean salad could make a meal on its own! Love that they are providing a nice option for an evening out in downtown Zanesville.

Loved the food – everything we had was great. The renovation looks nice and is growing on me. One thing that did annoy me were the tables – they feel very cheap and wobbly. I kept having to hold the base of my wine glass so it wouldnt tip over while we ate because the table moved so much. Too thin and cheap for a place charging that much. Otherwise lovely place and looking forward to returning!
