The food was not to my liking, the potatoes were hard on top and different tasting, and the chicken tenders were dry and stringy they were hard to eat. But Jessica was one of the best waitresses iv ever had, she was so kind and bubbly while she took my food off the check. I would recommend jessica as my waitress 100% but the chicken tenders not really.

I was looking forward to soul food for lunch. I didnt see much choice of sides. Ordered fried chicken, fries, burger. Fried chicken was a bit dry and salty. Food took a while to make and was just ok. Very plain atmosphere with 4 small tables. The people there were nice. Very few customers.

Before I even get to the food. When you walk in, the furnishing is “Eh”. Didn’t have half of the stuff on the menu. I wanted the Bone-in chicken breast meal, the guy said “I only have boneless”- that was ok, I like boneless. For my sides I wanted mac & cheese, corn- he replied “I don’t have corn. I only have Mac, greens, yams & veggies”. They had like 5 flavors of soda on menu, I wanted a pineapple – > “I only have orange & Limon lime”. Then I had to wait like 40-45 mins for the food, smh. It was fresh, sure, but couldn’t go here on lunch break, takes too long. Some people came in after me and wanted to order wings, I think- they didn’t have wings.

This is my second visit to Marjoe’s and I will definitely be returning & referring anyone & everyone who has ears to listen…lol my first visit I tried Turkey chops, yams, greens & macaroni and cheese & I’m telling you everything was soulfully delicious!
