Highly recommend this place! I’ve had lots of authentic Salvadoran food from my family friends in CA so I was super excited to try this place. My husband and I got a few different things for our first time: pupusas mixtas, pupusas with bean and cheese, and 2 tamales (1 pork and 1 chicken). The pupusas came with the usual salsa and curtido. The pupusas were excellent! They were not greasy at all which was a HUGE plus and they were super flavorful and well cooked. Salsa and curtido were on point! Delicious! The tamales were a little bland but cooked well. The lady in the front was super nice and the staff does an excellent job or keeping this establishment clean. Tables were being cleared and cleaned very quickly. Prices were reasonable.
They sell other small items not on their menu like Manteca and Salvadoran quesadillas. I asked about the quesadillas and was told they being them in the morning and don’t make more once sold out. I’ll definitely be back for those!
I did note that a lot of people were ordering take out (placed order over the phone). I will say that the wait was a bit long BUT the cook was making them super fast and food was fresh so we didn’t mind the wait.
We talked to a customer that was a regular and found out the owner opened a few years ago and he knew her since before she opened and has been supportive since the beginning. Super cool!

Maritza’s is a Salvadoran gem in Queen Creek. The pupusas are consistently hot, fresh and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is wonderful.

Was so delicious! Hot and fresh even after driving home. They were so kind inside, and verified the order several times. Sorry the picture is after I started chowing down. Family of six and the smaller kids loved the chicken and cheese as well as the cheese papusas. Thank you for a great family meal.

Lady at the front is VERY rude. Twice, she had an attitude. Food looked good! Was going to try it..she said today is their last day..:( I was asking if moving locations and she was just 0 on a scale of 10 for manners. I’d def put someone else in charge of taking orders if you do move locations. She was hateful. Jesus, help this woman not to be a bitter person. Amen

Was good. I’m not a pupusa expert. They were good but a little on the bland side.
The taco plate was delicious.
Unsure if we’ll be back. We have a pupusa place that tastes better.

A co-worker sent me this. So my wife and I took a drive to go taste it. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. The food was delicious, but I do have one complaint. I wish they would’ve kept the Yucca in whole pieces instead of cutting them into fries style, and the Chicharrón was a little too dry. Other than that, the pupusas were great, the tamal had a good flavor also. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast menu because it looked good for the pictures.

Food is wonderful!
Service team was nice and prompt with service. They were also honest with what was in stock and out of stock due to our later arrival on a Saturday.
I don’t traditionally like tamales but theirs are amazing! Fresh food is hard to come by. Let alone good small businesses in Queen Creek Area. So glad we stopped and I look forward to this being a regular for our family.

Very authentic Salvadoran pupusas that taste just like the homemade ones my Salvadoran friends make. Very happy to have Maritza’s in Queen Creek! For anyone who has never tried pupusas you are missing out and should definitely give Maritza’s a try!
