Authentic bbq place. One of the best I’ve tasted. The ribs were perfectly tender and falling off the bones on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce hit sort of the classic middle road with a mild, smoky sweetness without too much tanginess.
The brisket was also incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. Both the fatty and the meaty parts were delicious. The portion for the brisket was a bit small.
The coleslaw was fresh and not overly sweet or greasy. I’d also recommend their cornbread and crispy Brussels sprouts, although the fried okra was just okay. I’d try green beans or corn on the cob instead next time.
The service was attentive and friendly. Serving was fast, and the overall atmosphere had a simple and authentic feel to it. On the outside, it looks like a regular store at a strip mall, but it feels quite inviting on the inside.

The sides were good. The food was alright. Ribs could have used more seasoning. They were kind of bland. They were not good enough that you wanted to eat them without dipping in sauce. Pulled pork about the same. Their beans weren’t bad. Mac & cheese was pretty good. Sweet tea was a little weak. But the waitress is really good and attentive. The portions were good. The sauce was pretty good. It’s not the kind of barbecue you’re just gonna crave when you’re wanting bbq, but I would go again. The atmosphere seemed kind of weird because it did not feel like we were in a bbq restaurant.

At Kenova Smokehouse, I savored the smoked chicken, although the Mac and cheese was occasionally inconsistent. Nevertheless, the baked beans and banana pudding were exceptionally impressive. The portions were generous, and the wait staff provided attentive service.

We were traveling from MN and wanted authentic bbq. This place did not disappoint. Good size portions, flavorful meat (got the bs and briskets) and sides were outstanding. Husband was excited to have the fried okra. Friendly and quick service.

Went during lunch and the interior wasn’t much. The seating felt a little cramped in an already small space. The music was a little too low and selection was kinda eh so everyone was speaking softly. The food came out rather quickly which made us hesitant but the meat was so insanely tender and perfectly seasoned. I got the brisket platter and my friend got the sausage platter. Mac n cheese was amazing. The greens had a slight kick to it which was delicious. I don’t normally like sauce with my bbq but wanted to try it and it was fantastic. It wasn’t as thick as you’d normally see bbq sauce but I loved it that way. It was almost like a marinade it wasn’t too sweet either; it was just right. It’s be a crime if they don’t sell the sauce. I think if this place were in its own location that had more space, this restaurant would do great. Definitely the best bbq I’ve had yet 🙂

We got the Almost Heaven platter, burnt ends, and banana pudding. Highly recommend the burnt ends, as well as the brussels sprouts dish! The caramelization on those were perfect. Their table side BBQ sauce was also on point and delicious with just about everything!

Okay, the food is great! Probably the best greens I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. The venue is SMALL. Not the place for large parties. The service was great. The vibe is pretty good. I’d recommend if you like smoked meats.

THE SMASH BURGERS!! Wow, they are amazing! 2 giant patties with bacon, white cheddar cheese, and these pickled red onions! You can add Coleslaw, and they have homemade pickles. It was a huge sandwich for $14, which included 1 side. After reading reviews, I ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts, which lacked flavor to me. They tasted like they were put in an air fryer. My husband got the brisket chili for his side, and it is delicious! I could not finish my whole hamburger. I had to get a to go box. You can’t get a burger this big for the price anywhere! The atmosphere is very dark, it’s a small restaurant but the staff are so sweet and attentive. We got there about 12:30 and it was very busy, we were lucky to get a table. Oh and the Sweet Tea was on point!

My server, Madison, was pleasant and did a great job describing the food so I could make a good selection. I never had to look for her, she came and checked on me frequently. The food came out quick and it was delicious.
