I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Marigold. The service was incredible. The chef was juggling preparing the meal and caring for her baby, which as a parent was really impressive. They were very sweet and attentive. We ordered pretty much the whole menu and didn’t have to wait long for anything. Food was all very flavorful. Basically everything in the menu can be vegetarian/vegan.
I wouldn’t say it was the best Indian food I’ve ever had, but it was a really unique take on it. Would definitely go back!

Run AWAY! Awful, awful food. My wahoo was like a brick, couldn’t cut it , literally hard as a rock, this is not an Indian restaurant, it’s a few ladies pretending they can cook. Don’t waste your time or money. Their vindaloo sauce was clearly just a can of tomato paste – their response to our dissatisfaction with the meal was a shoulder shrug.. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!!!

Ordered vindaloo, Tikka masala, garlic naan, samosas. Food overall was quite good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the samosas – they were floury and I think lacked flavor. The Tikka masala was quite good – Not creamy and pretty spicy. The vindaloo was EXCELLENT. it was spicy, sour, sweet – everything you want in vindaloo. It was definitely my favorite dish. The rice that came with the meals was perfectly prepared. The naan was unlike any naan I have had before but delicious. Will go again !

Wow!!! Best Indian food I’ve ever had. Never mind that I’m in the middle of the Caribbean. Nicky the owner and menu developer was raised in India and the UK, lived in NYC for a decade and knows excellent quality ingredients, great service and prompt entree delivery. The only place on the island I don’t wait 90+ minutes for a meal. Do NOT miss this stop in Roatan! You’re welcome.

**VEGETARIAN & INDIAN REVIEWER**
I love indian food and have tried various diff styles but this one was one of my least favorite. A group of us decided to try this place out and it just tasted like tomato paste with not a hint of any Indian flavor.
If you like Indian Food, I would NOT recommend eating at this place. It barely satisfied our Indian Food craving.
Things that need improvement:
• Tikka Masala
• Chana Masala
Things to try:
• Samosas

My first bad review ever unfortunately. The positive reviews seem to be primarily from vegans who can’t find many alternatives on the island. For that – fair enough.
We should have read the other reviews because later we noticed the same thing happened to us.. We arrived and immediately noticed that the prices are ~20% higher than what’s shown on the menu here in maps. Asked if it was possible to pay by card but were declined because the ladies didn’t know how to use the machine – 2 months after someone else complained about this.
Then the food arrived and it had nothing to do with Indian food. My $16 Chicken Tikka Masala was literally chicken in tomato sauce. At least it tasted decently and the portion was large – just not what we expected. The paneer coconut curry wasn’t good. Garlic Naan was ok.
At that point I already felt scammed but didn’t want to leave a bad review since the waiter was nice to us… until we wanted to pay and she tried to overcharge us twice: first she added 15% in tax which wasn’t noted on the menu so the food cost even more! Then I added up the numbers and she was still overcharging us L100.
We left angry and sad and warned our friends to avoid the place. By far the most expensive place we’ve been to on the island and the worst as well. Hope this prevents someone from making the same mistake.

Been craving Indian food for the longest time and our visit to this place was spot on. Not the best Indian ever, but the dishes were tasty, the service was great, plenty of veggie options and the price in line with everything else in Roatan. Only opens for dinner, fyi!

Overcharged and underwhelmed. We had been looking forward to an Indian meal and having read the reviews were exited about Marigold. Cash was insisted upon as no one could use the card machine. When I checked the bill later I realised we’d been overcharged by over 20%. The curries were ok but the breads were awful Oily and leathery. This sadly was not a good dining experience.

A cute little restaurant off the side of a busy road next to Wok. The restaurant was very welcoming and the menu was very clearly indicated what was vegan. We had onion bhaji, chana masala, and tofu vindaloo. Delicious but not very spicy.
