We’re told a 30 minute wait. We went outside to wait and walked back when we were down to 1 party in front of us. We were not notified our table was ready but when we checked in our table had been given away. Weird. We were seated though. The waitress offered a pineapple mimosa which I opted for which was very good.
It sounded as if all tables are offered fried pickles as a starter which we did bot choose.
My husband had chicken and waffles and I had shepherd’s pie and a side of cucumbers.
Shepherd’s pie was very good but could have used more corn, had to search for the few kernels that were there.
Cucumbers were fresh and very good.
Dish was described as having creamed corn but it did not.
Husband said chicken and waffles were adequate.
Wait staff was quick and efficient, place looks clean.

They were overly concerned with addressing my allergies. Wished they listened and believed me rather than watch me eat. But i truly understand why and appreciated it rather than dismiss my allergies. The food was hot, reasonably priced and large portions.

Pretty solid food and quality service. I had a nice chicken and waffle meal and the gf and I split some poutine (would recommend). They have real maple syrup and a good selection of classic diner grub. I’ll definitely stop by again.

My experience was very good. The decor of the place is great. I sat in the dining car and loved everything. The service was fantastic. I wish I could remember her name, but she was spot on and honest. I asked if the corned beef was home made, and sadly she honestly said no. That scored points for me. I ended up getting blueberry pancakes and sausage. Good, not great but good. The coffee was good and the milk was cold. Prices are normal. Would definitely go back.

What a fantastic spot! We stopped while visiting town because we were in the mood for some classic comfort food. We were seated in the boxcar, which was fun! The menu had so many great options where breakfast and lunch were served all day! The food was so delish, freshly cooked and great portions. We enjoyed chatting with our server, Owin, he was great! We will return!!

Amazing! Food fabulous! Prices are lower than expected. Very clean and server was really patient for our first ever visit. So many choices of meals. Left stuffed to the max. No desserts, but wish had had room!

Please dont make the mistake of coming here like i did, i wouldnt even come to any of the restaurants owned by the same restaurant family because my whole family got sick from another 50s diner by them. considering the 4.4 stars i thought it would be ok but its terrible here. Food took an hour to come to our table after ordering. my grandpas food was cold and the butter they gave him was rancid and expired, he couldnt put it on his food. the cheese fries they gave me oh my god.. disgusting the cheese was literally dried up on the fries the fries were clumped together u have to rip them apart with force.

Location was easy to find. The waiter was very personable. Food was just ok. Eggs were cooked perfectly but home fried patatoes were mushy and toast was burnt. The coffee was good but we didnt got offered more. No one came around to top it off. I would go there again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way to get there. I would just order something different and give it a try.

Outside of the eggs Benedict being overcooked, my issue wasn’t with the food. The cooking staff did their thing otherwise. It’s a diner in all the non modern ways, and one of those ways is the source of my gripe. The point of sale system is outdated, and the server tending to our table was dyslexic with the CVV codes on our split payment (which we found out hours later when bank notifications alerted us) and kept having the cards decline. The server made it LOUD and clear in faulting us (using a lovely tone that hinted that we were some of them poors), despite us showing him no transactions were attempted in our accounts and there was money in the bank. It was really fun getting looks from nearby tables! My family stayed and I left to get cash to pay the bill (they don’t have an ATM on site) and during this time the server returned to again LOUDLY ask my family if I had gone to get money. I mean, bruh, c’mon. I wasn’t going out for milk and cigarettes, you dig? It was an embarrassing situation that could have been avoided by some modern technology and a server that pays attention to the cards he’s running a charge against.
Again, this wasn’t about the cooking staff. This was about the parting treatment after a first time visit that was absolutely the last.
