Simple and effective diner-style spot serving up massive portions. Friendly staff – whether it be the wait staff or the cooks, it seemed as though everyone working there knew all the customers.
Food couldn’t have taken more than 5-10 minutes. Massive portion sizes and high quality food. Crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, and perfectly cooked over-medium eggs. My favorite style of breakfast and they nailed it.

We didn’t want the Salem lines for spooky themed brunch so we went to a local diner! There was no wait and food was fast, delicious, and generously portioned. Pictured here is my Irish Benedict.

Perfect little spot to take the family! My wife and I enjoyed their two-egg style sirloin breakfast — absolute deliciousness all around. The staff are amazing, greeting you warmly as soon as you walk in and sending you off with a friendly farewell. Great food, great service, great vibes!

My mother and I used to frequent Maria’s and never had issues. This weekend my family and I had lunch here. Waitstaff is super kind and the food was tasty. However, my husband got food poisoning from their haddock sandwich, it was the only thing he had consumed the entire day and was completely ill that night into the entire next day. beware of their fish!!! Otherwise their food and service is nice.

This is exactly what you want from a breakfast place. Maria’s has that small business mom n pop feel. Service is quick and staff are so nice and welcoming. Prices are more than fair. But the food?? Delicious! I ordered the Hungry Man breakfast to have a bit of everything. I absolutely love pancakes and these pancakes were THE BEST pancakes I’ve ever had out and about. Great sized, slightly crispy, not overly fluffy. And it came with warmed softened butter (which to me is prime). The homefries were nice thick cuts of potatoes. And the coffee? Actually really good and well brewed. I look forward to coming back the next time I’m in Salem!

Maria’s is on Jefferson Ave in Salem, MA, at the end of a small, brick strip mall. We went at the beginning of the fall season so it was still warm outside & they had a bunch of tables/chairs set up right outside the front door, along with the regular seating inside the restaurant. We would’ve liked to sit out there on the warm, sunny, gorgeous morning we were there, but the numerous hornets flying all around the outdoor tables nixxed that idea. Inside this place is very “diner-ey,”with small tables & chairs around the perimeter & interior…but somehow it didn’t feel cramped. I didn’t really notice anything about the wait staff…not great, not bad either. When our order was brought to our table, mine was not what I asked for & the waitress wasn’t within sight so I had to go & find her & ask to send it back so I could get what I actually ordered. It came back closer to my order but not quite, so I gave up and tried it anyway. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with my food since I didn’t like what the kitchen decided to add to it. I ended up eating when I got home after paying for a meal I didn’t order & didn’t eat. So I can’t honestly recommend this restaurant. Maybe it was just an off day for the kitchen? I have no idea but I won’t be finding out because I won’t be going back there anytime soon. There’s too many other good restaurants in Salem

Flew in from Brooklyn, was looking for a mom/pop spot with good food, small walk from my hotel, loved the home feel, had some eggs with corn beef hash + side is sausage patties. Wife had eggs over easy with sirloin tips
Came in twice for breakfast, might make it a 3rd time on my last day, appreciate they take card for payment, helps as a tourist visiting.

The best breakfast and best price I’ve had ever. The cooks slinging out perfectly cooked food so fast it’ll make ya head spin. On top of that everyone’s cutting up and having a good time. Came to Salem for the magic and it was goin on at Maria’s.
