Dave Portnoy was right! Stopped in for a couple slices for lunch. The traditional pizza is fantastic. Perfect amount of cheese and great sauce flavor. The crust has a nice flour dust which I’m a big fan of. BONUS: for lunch you get a free drink with 2 slices for $4.99. If you’re in central Jersey, you must give Maria’s a try.

Today I picked up a party package from Maria’s and I have to say that I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Every dish was fresh and delicious. I appreciated that it wasn’t salty which is something that happens often when I order out. We had never tried their food or pizza and I honestly was afraid because I couldn’t find any reviews online about their party package. I went to Milltown to was order a couple of trays from the business across the street and found out when I went there that they had just gone out of business, I saw Maria’s and decided to give them a try as we were celebrating my daughter’s bday and was having 12 college kids at our house. Everyone loved everything and asked me to give them some food to take home. There was plenty so they all left happy. This was our first, but definitely not the last time we’ll order from here.

We are from out of town and saw a brochure for this restaurant at our hotel. The brochure said they deliver and we hoped they would deliver to us, as we were 5 miles away, but they didn’t, so we picked it up. We ordered the Grandma Pizza, which was a thin crust square pizza. We got the rustic flavor. It was so good! We also got a salad, which had very fresh lettuce, a generous portion of gargonzola cheese and other ingredients. It was really good, too. We would definitely go back if we were in town again.

I want to give a huge should out to Maria’s Pizza & Subs for an amazing job catering! We ordered their 5 full tray special. Food was absolutely delicious. Perfect authentic Italian food. Everyone was complimenting how good it was. Soooo much food too!!! Definitely will be using them for all our catering needs. Thank you so much! Their calamari is absolutely divine. You get plenty of calamari for two fat hungry people, and it comes with two of the juiciest lemon slices you could ever imagine. Their pizza is impeccable, especially the Sicilian. Please, you need to try the calamari, it melts in your mouth

Very very good specialty pizza. Thin crust regular pies. The regular pizzas have thin crust and that’s a huge deal for a jersey pizzeria because it doesn’t seem like the norm here.
