Stopped for a plain pie for an early Friday dinner. Service was great, 10 minute wait for a pie there. Pie was good, a little to much cheese for me. If your looking for a pizza place in an around New Brunswick, Maria’s is it.

It takes love and passion to make a great pizza and this place has it in spades. Talk about an amazing pizza. Had both a slice plain and an “upside down” pizza that my buddy Uncle Eddie Eats ordered and just the aroma alone pulls you in. Seriously it’s one really good pie.

Even during a period of high track I got my pizza quickly. Hence the high service score. The pizza itself had alot of cheese, so if you are into that good for you. However the cheese was very uneven, probably having to do with how quickly the pizza was made. Overall, tasty pizza, just not my thing.

Dave Portnoy was right! Stopped in for a couple slices for lunch. The traditional pizza is fantastic. Perfect amount of cheese and great sauce flavor. The crust has a nice flour dust which I’m a big fan of. BONUS: for lunch you get a free drink with 2 slices for $4.99. If you’re in central Jersey, you must give Maria’s a try.

Today I picked up a party package from Maria’s and I have to say that I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Every dish was fresh and delicious. I appreciated that it wasn’t salty which is something that happens often when I order out. We had never tried their food or pizza and I honestly was afraid because I couldn’t find any reviews online about their party package. I went to Milltown to was order a couple of trays from the business across the street and found out when I went there that they had just gone out of business, I saw Maria’s and decided to give them a try as we were celebrating my daughter’s bday and was having 12 college kids at our house. Everyone loved everything and asked me to give them some food to take home. There was plenty so they all left happy. This was our first, but definitely not the last time we’ll order from here.

Such a great restaurant, super friendly staff, awesome food that is consistently great. Love their bar pies, and they have great choices for pizza. Chicken Francese and Marsala are also super dishes. This is on our rotation for restaurants when not cooking!

Thank you Camillo and staff for a wonderful experience! Great guy to talk to, the grandma pizza is amazing too. My girlfriend and I stopped in last night after bowling because we saw the Prez (Dave Portnoy) rated them so high. We understand why. Camillo and I instantly bonded over New Haven pizza as that’s where I went to school. Great service and food. we will be back to try the other pies they have! Thanks Camillo!
