They can make some great fajitas. I had chicken fajitas and requested the onions. Be well done, they actually were caramelized! That seems to be such a challenge for lots of restaurants that claim to be able to make Mexican food. Maria’s made them perfectly. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a bite. The rice was nicely seasoned. They also had a really cool tray that held the tortillas below the platter of the meat and kept them warm.

I used to come to this Maria’s a lot as a kid and I’m happy to report that they’re still good! They did modernize the decor a lot and it’s fine but I do miss the old style. I got the beef burrito lunch special and enjoyed it. Staff were super friendly and my food came out very quickly which was much appreciated. In other words, I don’t have a negative thing to say!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Maria’s! I will describe my first impression of Maria’s in three words: Welcoming, Fresh, and Delicious. As soon as we entered the restaurant each member of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We initially were coming in for takeout. After speaking with the staff, they described the menu items and were so friendly, we decided to eat in! When we reached our table we were greeted with a whole tray of salsas. We each got to choose our own bowl of salsa in the level of spiciness we like. Our waiter expertly described the menu items so we could make our choices. Then the best part of the meal, he prepared our fresh guacamole right at our table. He created it to our specifications. If was so fresh and delicious, just like our entire meal. We ordered various types of tacos and shared them: Asada Tacos, Fajita Tacos, and Ground Beef Tacos. My daughter had the Huevos Rancheros. The food came out super fast. Also the prices are very reasonable. I like that there is such a variety. A lot of the restaurants in town have a modern fusion menu. Here you can get burritos, enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos, fajitas, with steak,, chicken, or ground meat. My mother is from San Antonio so I grew up on Tex Mex and it isn’t readily available in this area. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant. It is also handicapped accessible.

Best part first. Good service. Really like the new seating. They no longer have the red tables. The salsa was the best part of the food. Meat tasted old. Was like you buy in the bag at Sam’s club or wal-Mart. The burrito shells we’re good but extremely small to make a fajita wrap with. Photos included.
I hadn’t been in this restaurant for years due to a bad experience in the past. I won’t be back again.
We went here because, other places were packed and decided to try it again instead of waiting in line somewhere else. They are expensive considering the food quality. Can eat at Mojitos or Abuelo’s for the same price and they are much better.

Food lacked seasonings & flavor. Steak taco tasted like a grill. That’s literally the only flavor I got from it. The atmosphere is good, the staff is nice but the food needs work.
If you like more bland food, this is probably the spot for you!

First time here for lunch. The place is well decorated, clean and spacious. I was seated quickly, had chips and salsa on the table immediately and met by my server. The chips and salsa were good and I ordered number 11 on the lunch menu which included a beef taco, chicken enchilada, beans and rice. My favorite was the enchilada, the meat was excellent as was the white cheese sauce. The taco was good but was overwhelmed by sour cream and the beans and rice were okay. Service was excellent and the price was very fair.

Plenty of big shrimp. This dish has mushrooms, bacon and pico in it.
Way too much food for me. Share it!
This is a dish I actually won’t get again. Unless it’s a share meal. The flavor is not my favorite, but I’ve liked everything else there.
