We came to visit Providence during the week of Christmas. I found this place on Google Maps and thought it looked promising. It blew me away, and my expectations grew one plate after another! The mushroom appetizer was honestly amazing, I wanted seconds! The waiter, Mike, was exceptional! The waiter knew exactly what we needed without me asking! They provided my family and I the best experience I never even asked for! Maria Cucina exceeded all of my expectations!

My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious. I had a hard time chosing which meal to choose. Our server Paul helped me with my decision. He went above and beyond to make our night special. When our desserts were being served there was a candle in each and he sang Happy Anniversary to us. I will definitely tell my family and friends about this restaurant and we will also go back. Thank you again Paul for the memorable evening.

Maria’s Cucina is one of our favorite restaurants. When we planned to have a party for my mother in laws birthday we knew Maria’s Cucina would be the perfect place. From the planning, designing the menu, and last minute details Chris was amazing to work with. Lalena, Michaela, and Lydia provided exceptional service all night! All were friendly, attentive, and detailed-oriented. The food was delicious as always. All that attended complimented on how amazing the food and service was. I would highly recommend Maria’s Cucina to anyone who is thinking about hosting a party or a night out for dinner. You will not be disappointed and will have a delightful experience!

Shockingly below par! We went on Valentine’s Day, so I have to note that it’s not the normal situation and they were clearly slammed (kudos to the wait staff for doing their best). Unfortunately, pretty much everything was well below mediocre; the drinks were genuinely awful (completely watered down), the food was average at best and cold at worst (my partner barely made it through a quarter of her frigid pasta), and the service was remarkably absent (aside from the very welcoming hostess who seated us). It was clear that the limited menu and busy night was resulting in plates made not to order, but left under heat lamps in hopes they stayed warm. Ours didn’t, and for a restaurant with such high ratings, I expected much better. We live around the corner but not a chance we’ll come back.

The server was lovely so that was good but I’m sorry to say the food was not good at all. It was very disappointing as we were expecting great food based on prior reviews. The artichoke appetizer was tough and overcooked, and the pasta dish was completely bland with huge clams that were impossible to cut or chew. The bodino was excellent however! Unfortunately we will not return.

Having only one night in town, Lalena and staff were incredible! They got us in without a reservation on a busy night, and the service was attentive, fast, and knowledgeable about the food, area and location. The drinks were generous and well priced, the Man even commented on how good his old fashioned was several times. The food? Spectacular. Portions were great, flavors exceptional, perfectly cooked. I lived in Italy for 3 years and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had – moist, melt in your mouth, and the distinct, light flavor was divine. Thank you for one of the best meals and experiences we’ve had on our trip through New England!

Absolutely the best Eggplant Parm I’ve ever had! The quality and quantity of the food are both outstanding, and the prices are very fair. The customer service is warm and attentive, and the ambiance is lovely, comfortable, inviting, and perfect for any occasion. My only regret is not discovering this place sooner!
