Wow!! Came in with low expectations but was absolutely blown away. The interior and exterior decor is humble and unassuming, but the food is clearly made with passion. Everything we had was delicious and portion sizes are more than generous. We tried to make a return visit the following day, but got there too late and were disappointed to find them closed. Will look to make a return visit as soon as possible!

Visited here for first time. Had lunch on a Thursday. Atmosphere was just basic. You basically seat yourself. Only one waitress for the entire place when we went and she was very busy. Took quite some time to get our drinks and quite a wait for sandwich and wrap we ordered. Food was very tasty and fresh! We’d return based on the price and what you get. They probably need a bit more help though to move things a little faster. Little to no parking…we had to park across the street in parking lot.

I’ve eaten at a breakfast nook, and I’ve eaten Mexican breakfast. Before eating at Maria’s Cafe Bistro, though, I can’t say I’ve ever been to a place that mixed the two “feels.” Initially confusing, and undeniably delicious.

Definitely coming here again! I had the Breakfast melt with hash browns and really enjoyed it. My friends had the Breakfast sandwich on a croissant, the rest of the folks had the banana french toast. Everyone was very happy with their meal.

I’ve lived in Ottawa for years a while back. Never had the opportunity to try this place but glad I did! Got the fried chicken and it was honestly the absolute BEST in Lasalle county! They’re working so hard so please be patient!
