I love the food here, very well made and very delicious. Reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because of their service. I’ve been there a few times and I’ve never received a warm welcome, the way I see them welcome the Latin customers. Also, the last time I went there, not only did they add ONIONS (that I hate with everything) to my meal, they charged me $5 more for my meals than what I paid prior for the same EXACT meals. When I said it to the person that cashed me out, and showed her electronic copies of my previous receipts, she said “the persons who served you before, doesn’t know the prices”. Their menu says one price, and they charged me another. As much as I love the food there, I will NOT be patronizing their business anymore.

I love the food here. Everything is delicious and authentically Mexican. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend it. The guacamole is delicious, the nachos are scrumptious, and the tortas de azada are incredible. A great place to go with the family.

My experience at Margarita’s Cocina Mexicana has been disappointing on more than one occasion.
On one visit, I purchased salsa to go and was given a very small portion for $10, which felt excessive for the amount received.
On another occasion, I went with my children and ordered tacos. In addition to the already high price (approximately $6 per taco), the portion of meat was quite limited. They also charge extra for a handmade tortilla, yet only include one. Even lettuce is charged separately at an additional $1, which was surprising.
To make matters worse, if you pay with a credit card, there is an additional fee, which further increases the total. Honestly, paying these prices for small portions and constant add-on charges feels excessive. Even some of the top taco spots in NYC offer a better balance between price and value.
Additionally, the service was noticeably poor, which made the overall experience even less enjoyable.
I hope they reconsider their portion sizes, pricing structure, additional fees, and overall service quality.

Atmosphere is not what you expect for their prices and the service is not great or welcoming. The reason for my 1 star is because I wen there with my son. My son had chicken nuggets from McDonalds. After the waitress took the order for me and my mom, another women approached our table to tell us that they don’t allow outside food. I explained that we were their because we wanted to try their food and it would be great if they would allow us to enjoy their food while my son ate chicken nuggets. The women said no and explained that it’s a business policy they have. At that moment, we left the restaurant and went to Herradura a few blocks away where they were more than understanding and allowed my son to eat his food there while we enjoyed some delicious enchiladas. I will not be going back to Margaritas. They need to have better service and be more accommodating with customers.

My partner and I decided to check out this Small spot inside a strip malland it was the best decision ever .
We walked in on a Friday night for dinner it was empty and we were able to sit immediately. There’s only only server who was tending to us and covering the abundance on phone call orders but he was very welcoming and attentive .
We decided to go either the pico de gallo with homemade chips , steak burrito and chicken fajita platter . This has got to be one of the best Mexican spots I’ve went to yet ! Everything was fresh and with a burst of that authentic Mexican flavor we love . The complementary sauces were tasty but have a kick to them so I would be mindful if you aren’t a spice fan but the food it self wasn’t spicy at all . The portions are also very generous .
I will make it my business to come back . If you’re in the area please pop in I promise it’s worth it . Happy eating ️

When dining in you get a very small portion of tortilla chips and beans. Versus many other traditional restaurants you do need to pay for the tortilla chips and salsa which is about $15. The tacos we had were very delicious! Though for $4.50 each is quite steep for the tacos being very small. Las salsas picosas were very good as well. The service is OK.

Horrible experience I come pick up food from this place twice a week every time they do something wrong I give them another chance. I ordered 100$ worth of food and I’m Mexican my self I get home no lemons no salsa verde or Roja like how can you forget to put the salsa for the food when it’s Mexican food who eats food w out salsa the famous red salsa is what I go for it’s so good and I get home after a long day at work to eat delicious food and no salsas at all I lost my appetite I never wanna come back here again.

starts and think it can’t be that good. Well it is that good. It was the most delicious food we have had in some time. We got a chicken and spicy pork torta. The chicken one was out of this world. The pork was delicious too but the chicken! Definitely get the chicken torta. The staff was super friendly and the food came quickly. It was a small place but offered table service.
