Since founding El Greco Cafe in Downtown Sarasota three decades ago, our family has established a legacy of warm hospitality, classic recipes, and a dedication to quality. The Breakfast Company is committed to honoring that tradition as we seek to innovate the breakfast/lunch experience.
In addition to blending a creative daytime menu with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, the bakery at The Breakfast Company is what keeps customers coming back again and again. Our food is matched by a welcoming customer service experience that treats our guests like family. As our founder Pappou George Soublis (G.X.S.) would say, Welcome my friend!.

Seeking breakfast on a sleepy Sunday? Look no further than The Breakfast Company on Orange Avenue. This cozy, welcoming restaurant offers delicious classic American breakfast cuisine, and some with a twist. Take the Tuscan Short Rib Eggs Benedict for example, with its rich umami flavors galore. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Katie who was very attentive and so very sweet; she made our experience even more special. This restaurant is well worth the wait, you won’t be disappointed!

What a lovely way to start our day! Great atmosphere, super inviting, immaculate, and the entire staff was perfectly attentive. Our server, Alessandro, was very discerning, and recommended the perfect salad for my side dish based on ‘Build Your Own’ omelet I ordered! Our food was served quickly, even though they were very busy, and it had all the right markers for homemade and was so delicious. We are looking forward to returning soon! Thank you, Alessandro!

Omg This place was soooo good! They offered breakfast and lunch all day- had a hard time deciding on what to order. My husband and I chose breakfast and he had a Texas Burrito and I had Eggs Benedict. They were amazing when I altered my meal to not have bread and made accommodations for me. The service was unbelievably good! The waiter was so nice and friendly- never waited for anything. I highly recommend and we will be returning soon! Definitely worth it!

This place is so good we went 2 days in a row when we were in town!
Day 1 we split a small original cinnamon roll. We had the two egg breakfast, sausage, and original French toast and it was delicious. The French toast is so thick and fluffy. We also had the eggs Benedict and it was good as well.
Day 2 we each got our own small original cinnamon roll and it was as good as the first day. I had the two egg breakfast again with original French toast and bacon. The bacon was a little over done and I felt like you get a better portion size with the sausage. We also got the breakfast sandwich and it was good, again the bacon in it was a little overdone.
Service was a little slower on the second day and my order did come out incorrect, but it was quickly fixed and I had 3 separate staff come and apologize for the mix up. We would definitely come back again if we’re ever in town again. They are very busy and you’re able to join the waitlist online which is a nice feature!

Our server Jose was very nice and the atmosphere is very light and cheery. The food was excellent, especially the Greek omelette that had slices of gyro and feta in it. Portions were large and fresh baked pastries delicious. On weekends you will need a reservation or be ready to wait about 30 minutes because it’s very popular.

Cute boutique sidewalk breakfast and lunch restaurant near to, but not in, downtown Satasota. Angled in street parking in front of restaurant and down the block. Parallel street parking around the corner. Inside dining and outside dining under the leafy shade next to the side street sidewalk. Our senior friend has a lap dog that he refuses to go anywhere without, only a handful of restaurants in the area have shaded outside dog friendly dining.
The food was very good, but nothing over the top exceptional. Entrees are typically in the $17 range. Pleasant atmosphere, food and service.

Absolute great place for breakfast! We sat outside since the weather was nice. The food was great, big portions, and the specialty drinks were perfect. I had a breakfast sandwich, my boyfriend had a combo that came with the best smelling waffles, and Dad had a 2 eggs breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, came out hot, and was so good. Our waitress had the best personality and answered all our questions with ease. Will definitely go back next time we visit.

This location feels very new and is very clean. The menu has a great selection of breakfast and lunch options. I tried the Mexican Omelette, which was tasty with jalapenos, tomatoes, and avocado. I do wish there was more avocado on the omelette. I ordered the Nutella French toast with blueberries instead of strawberries and it was delicious. It was sweet enough without any syrup. The servers were really quick and checked in frequently. It also seems they have pastries ready to order.

Absolutely Amazing. WOW! First time here. Had a cinnamon roll latte, which was unreal. So good. Also had the ultimate breakfast. BIG Portion, which I love. Food tasted amazing. Staff was friendly. Wanted to say hello to the owner but he was just walking out the door. Maybe next time. Definitely coming back. Recommend to anyone in the area. So many other things to try. Place was super clean which I always look for to rate them on. 10/10. Thank you!

A great addition to the rosemary district downtown srq….a lot of the breakfast places down here prior to the Breakfast Company opening have a dingy & old feeling – even the outdoor spaces. We are SO excited that this clean, brand new spot is open. The menu is expansive & every item we’ve ordered the past 3 visits has been fantastic – cappuccino, blueberry lavender sangria, skillets, pancakes & Benedict’s. Kid friendly. A must try & plenty of parking along Lemon or Kumquat.
