Everything about this place is great! It’s a restaurant that’s in a renovated type house. The service was quick and attentive. The appetizers were great! The oysters and calamari were amazing. The oysters were refreshing while the sweet and sour sauce that was paired with the calamari perfectly complimented them. The specials for the day offered a wide variety for us to choose from. The pasta was really creamy and filling. I would say that the carbonara was interesting due to the addition of vegetables. I wasn’t a fan of them but the overall taste of the carbonara was good. I’d definitely go back for date night again.

A pleasant surprise in central New Jersey: elaborated Christmas decorations, randomly staffed waites/waitresses (seem all weekend part timers except one), spacious dining area, weekend piano player/singer and most importantly, great foods with cocktails. The place serves typical American dishes, and the steaks and seafoods are their strong suits. The vegetables are locally harvested, according to the restaurant, and the potatoes are fantastic, crispy skin with salt and blue cheese. Highly recommended if you are in this area. Keep in mind, this is a place where may not have a lot of business throughout the week, so you have to be patient when it is busy.

It was a pleasant atmosphere, the servers were great and the food was tasty. The food took a little while, but I really enjoyed the Pan Seared Scallops wrapped in Prosciutto and the Cedar Roasted Wild Salmon.

The food in this place is second to none…every meal has come out perfectly cooked and tastes amazing…you can tell 100% that the chef here had a passion for the meals he prepares…the two reasons I am not rating this 5 stars are simple enough to fix..but after 10+ visits to this establishment (like I said, the food is amazing) the issues persist..the first issue is the parking lot….the space ample but the condition of the lot for such a beautiful restaurant is borderline embarrassing…the second issue is the lack of staff…the people that work here are amazing and obviously care about the restaurant, this is evident in the fact that it’s always the same staff, they work hard and go out of their way to accommodate any request but their just aren’t enough of them for the job, fortunately for the establishment the people who dine here are very understanding to the issue and tend to overlook this problem…this restaurant really is a 5 star joint hidden in a 4 star body and I highly recommend anyone reading this to make the journey here…prices for meals range from from around $15 to $35 and the chef always has a nice selection of specials, both appetizer and entree…beers run from $4 to $4.50 and wine ranges from $8 a glass to $15
After many trips to this establishment I’m changing my rating to 5 stars..while nothing has changed about my previous points I honestly have to say the food here had become some of my favorite and it’s just way too good to not have the 5 star rating it deserves..and as for the slower service, now that I come here expecting that, I’ve come to actually enjoy a nice relaxed, non rushed meal out…the staff here actually does an amazing job and you can tell by the fact that it’s consistently the same employees that they genuinely enjoy their job and care very much about the customers…

Upscale, relaxed and warm with a fireplace and bar. Music softly in the background. Four of us devoured warm, crusty bread and herb butter followed by garlic shrimp, gorgonzola and pear salad, pork belly, rack of lamb, duck, short beef rib, and more. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Short beef rib was super tender on top of risotto. Ended with Maras cheesecake and cappuccino. Service was attentive.

Love love love this place!! Family owned and operated business which I love to support! Wether it’s just for dinner and drinks or hosting a special occasion they do an amazing job! I’ve been coming here for years and just used them to host my daughters 1st birthday party. All of my guests literally raved about how amazing the food was as well as the establishment. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you for helping me throw the most amazing 1st birthday party.

Very surprised by this place. From the outside the building does not look like much. The parking lot is kind of beat up and the entrance to the restaurant is on the far left side.
But the food is AMAZING! I had this salmon that was cooked to perfection. It came with some kind of fried potatoes that were lightly covered with cheese that tasted incredible. I could eat them all night long.
As to service, the staff is pretty responsive. They pay a good amount of attention to you.
Didn’t get anything to drink from their bar (I was the designated driver that night) but the Mrs had some kind of fruit drink that she said was good.
