If I could give this restaurant a 3.5 star rating, I would. Don’t get me wrong, the food was flavorful.. but $32 for some white rice and 8 shrimp that were barley warm, its kinda crazy (camarones por dios plate). My man got the Entraña plate, which had cold steak and cold potatoes.. we sent it back to be warmed up. Oddly, the higher up from the staff had to come to confirm instead of the waitress just taking it back initially. Our waitress was attentive, shared her preferences, and did come check up on us. We did come to eat on a Sunday around 2pm, so it wasn’t too busy and it was while they were transitioning from brunch to dinner. I will add, there was a 30-45min wait before we could order our main plates. For those 30-45min, you could order drinks and appetizers. Those minutes flew by as we read the menu (this was our first time there). We got two alcohol drinks, which were amazing (they better be if I’m paying $16-$28). If you’re willing to pay the extra price, it’s worth the picture worthy moments and food.

We have been to Mexican restaurants all over. Grew up in Texas so accustomed to great Tex-Mex, but go to places with great Mexican cuisine all over the country and in Mexico as well. This was a great surprise find while in Fairfield. Been in the area visiting Napa and Sonoma, then came to Fairfield to do some work and stumbled across Mama Por Dias right next to our hotel. What a welcome surprise. Food was amazing, the drinks were unique and had a fun delivery and the presentation fit the vibe of the restaurant. Javier was our server and America, one of the managers, checked on our experience often.
This place is right next to Chevy’s Mexican Food. Be honest about the experience you are looking for. The food at Mama Por Dios is on a different level. Come with an open mind and a palate to experience something different. Don’t expect cheese enchiladas with some rice & beans. The sauces here are amazing, and while we were a bit concerned just reading the description of some of them, the flavor profile was amazing. You are going to spend $20 to $30 per entree plate, and drinks can be a bit expensive, but Mama Por Dias is more of a fine dining experience than just a place to get something to eat. I would say (selfishly) that this place isn’t suited to children, as the dining experience is more tailored for adults, and if I am spending $100+ on a meal for two, I don’t want to hear kids around. That being said, if you want to bring your girl for a top notch dining experience in Fairfield, get a baby-sitter and give them a shot. We were beyond surprised with the atmosphere, the cocktails, the food and the experience.

We visited Mama X Dios for the first time this Friday around 8:30 PM without a reservation, and were immediately welcomed by Vanessa at the host stand. She was incredibly kind and let us know she’d check on table availability. Within just a few minutes, she returned, introduced us to our server, and we were seated at a cozy table for two.
Our entire experience was wonderful. The ambiance, service, and food were all exceptional. We ordered the Mezcalita flight, the Zebra, the queso fundido with chorizo, the bacon-wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese, and the pollo asado. While the queso fundido wasn’t my personal favorite, it was still enjoyable. Everything else was delicious and full of flavor.
We absolutely recommend Mama X Dios and are especially grateful to Vanessa for helping make our first visit such a great one.

We had such a great experience at Mama Pie Dios. The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. .
The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a meal and good conversation. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Wow, just wow! First of all, major kudos to Obeth, Alejandro, America and the hostess (I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name)! After a slight mishap, Obeth went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we were completely happy and satisfied with our dining experience. And that’s what this place is…an entire experience! Every dish is a flavor explosion, the drinks are delicious and down to the last detail, the place is beautiful, interesting, exotic and whimsical in an excellent way! We can’t thank the staff enough for making our first time here unforgettable. We’ll be back, thank you so much!!!

This was our second time here. We were going to a friend’s Christmas concert and decided to make an evening of it by doing a date night.
We were given a complimentary garlic bread, which was very tasty. Our appetizer was the Guacamole de Chicharron de Ribeye. It was different, but very tasty. My wife ordered the ribeye fettuccine. She said she liked it better than fettuccine with chicken. She said it was very good. I had the Lobster Pasta. This dish was so tasty! It was spaghetti noodles with lobster in Diabla Sauce. The sauce was not spicy. It had a slight tang to it, but not too much. The flavor was off the charts though. The sauce reminded me of a lobster bisque, only with a little kick to it.
The ambiance of this place is pure energy. If you want a quiet meal, this is not the spot. If you want somewhere that is fun, lively and energetic, go here. Perfect place for a fun birthday meal, especially when yhe crew comes out to celebrate your birthday.

Went here a couple days ago. The food was delicious and the servers were very nice. We had Kenya and she did an awesome job. I took 1 star away due to the bar not being able to serve all our drinks together and my fries came out underdone, but they were able to provide me with fresh ones. But our server was able to deliver our missed drinks herself. I tried their flan (which is a dish I usually hate), but it was so delicious! Overall, a great place to come for a celebration or girls night out. It has a loud and energetic atmosphere while remaining classy at the same time. I definitely will be coming back.
