My husband and I ate there last night. We had Caesar salad, onion soup, shrimp toast, coffee and banana cream pie with wines. The food and atmosphere were great, service was excellent except we both had diarrhea last night. Please think twice if you choose to eat there! We won’t be back!

I visited Mallebar for the first time tonight. I ordered escargot to start. This was my first time trying the delicacy & I’m so happy I chose to have it here. I had a Caesar salad mid meal. It was such a generous portion that I was unable to finish it as I wanted to save room for the entree & dessert. I ordered duck for my third course. This was an amazing dish. The duck was cooked perfectly and was well paired with asparagus & goat cheese. I finished with Chocolate Decadence for dessert. I ADORED this dish. My many thanks & compliments to the chef. This was a meal I wish I could experience for the first time again. No complaints whatsoever. It’s refreshing to have a meal so satisfying. Service was great & the atmosphere is comfortable. Fruit infused water was served, & I had 3 of the sparkling wines, which were also great. Highly recommend this restaurant ❤️

This place is somewhat of a hidden gem in downtown Plymouth. It’s got the look and feel of an upscale restaurant but has a more relaxed vibe. The staff are a small but mighty team who deliver an exceptional experience. I’ve been here 3 times and each time our server was Ryan, who has always done an excellent job making people feel welcomed with his hospitable attitude. He handles a lot of tables all while being personable and making great recommendations. The folks here are all passionate about the food and the dining experience and it shows.

This place describes itself as serving French comfort food, and that’s exactly what we got! The service was impeccable, and also very friendly. We went on a Wednesday evening, so it was uncrowded, but we got the same attention that we imagine we would have gotten on a busy night. The food was delicious, served in a timely manner, but we were completely unhurried. The cheese board was delicious, and the other meals we got were the pork schnitzel, the Atlantic Salmon, and a couple of duck burgers. Where else can you get a duck burger? It was delicious!

Fantastic experience and friendly owner. He found a seat last second and was very accommodating. Great wine list and the duck is highly recommended. They trained under Julia Child.

We had the great fortune to have Melissa serve us here. She was exceedingly kind, and patient with us, as we have a 3 year old who is always on the go. We tried the escargots, raw oysters, and enjoyed a phenomenal Manhattan. I cannot get over how buttery and scrumptious the escargots were. It reads popcorn on the menu, and a few kernels are on the plate to reflect the actual popcorn flavor of the combined ingredients. The oysters are very clean. I really wish we could have stayed longer. This is the best service we have had, probably, ever. What an absolute gem this place is, and what a fantastic server! Thank you!

The staff was not welcoming. Our wait person bordered on rude. She was inattentive to our party of four but was clearly treating the table of two next to us in a very different manner. The food was very bland. My dish was cool, almost cold. Pureed parsnips cold wasn’t pleasant. The cheese was breaded and fried but was greasy and not crisp. The chicken wasn’t seasoned but the cook was reasonable. The brussel sprouts were probably the best thing on the plate. Two of us chose the chicken and two chose salmon. The salmon had an over all nice cook but the skin was a little soggy. The creamy lentils were very good. Wine was fair and the dessert choices were not appealing… they were far too sweet. Nothing fresh as an end note to the meal. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment and will not return.

Bacon wrapped dates and mixed cheese and meats board were my favorites of the meal. I like how they design the menu to start you with something small and tasty to get started, then the board or something similar to keep you going, then the entree which is not oversized or obnoxious, and then dessert. Prices were fair and the service was excellent.

So…it helps to know what a “brasserie” is supposed to be before dining here.

One word. SPECTACULAR. We live in Boston and travel often around the world. This is the best French food we have had, anywhere. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, the price point is so reasonable. The homemade bread, sea salt and honey butter, fork and knife burger, pork milanese, chicken francais, oysters rockefeller, French onion soup, bacon wrapped dates I could go on and on. I cannot recommend this place more.
