Best place for buffet-style Asian/Hapanese food! We love Makino’s because my husband does not eat much Asian food; but, he loves the BBQs & desserts @Makinos… So, we both leave HAPPY & SATISFIED

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Makino, and we left with full bellies and happy hearts! The service was amazing; the staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout our meal.
The food was simply outstanding! With a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other delectable options, there was something for everyone. Every dish we tried was fresh and delicious. I especially loved the extensive dessert selection – finishing off the meal with sweet treats was the perfect touch to my birthday celebration!
If you’re in Las Vegas and looking for a fantastic sushi buffet, I highly recommend Makino.

For being just 10 minutes off the strip, this place is a great lunch spot if you’re hungry for solid food and don’t want to drop Strip buffet prices. The sushi is well made, the imitation krab meat is identified honestly, and during our early lunch service the sushi bar was well stocked. If you love salmon, there’s plenty. I particularly liked the seared salmon skin nigiri. It’s just a little fattier and fishier (in a good way) than the regular salmon nigiri.
The tempura was crispy and delicate, really good by most restaurant standards (not just buffets). And the tempura dipping sauce was dispensed hot from a pump carafe to maximize your tempura enjoyment. I respect the attention to detail.
The staff are very attentive and great with drink refills. Yeah, I know they probably do that so you eat less, but it comes across as courteous and they remember what you had. My wife is particular to raspberry iced tea (not plain) and they made sure they brought her the right one. Props for that.
The only knocks against it are:
1) The ramen was kinda weak. I know it’s sort of a filler dish, but the broth could have been stronger and the noodles more al dente.
2) they have the basic nigiri’s (salmon, tuna), and some others like mackerel and claim. I would have loved to see something like yellowtail, otoro, or scallop instead or in addition.
3) the ice cream was a little old, as in the texture was a little gritty from ice crystals. Green tea flavor was average. Cant speak about the other desserts because I was stuffed, but they looked good.
Overall, this place is like a 4.6 out of 5. Solid buffet, very close to perfection with some room for improvement. But I’m putting this place down as a must-go whenever I’m back in Vegas. Hope they stay open for many more years.

The food was great only wished the crab legs were warm. Shrimp tempura was scrumptious! A definitely great value at $45.99. Servers were polite and quick to take away dirty plates. Very clean as well. Will be back next trip!

I noticed that the warning note is only provided in English and Korean. Why aren’t languages like Chinese, Vietnamese, or Thai included? Singling out one specific Asian nationality feels exclusionary and leans into uncomfortable stereotypes. It suggests a bias that only Korean speakers need these reminders, which comes across as discriminatory.

Good food with plenty of options. Sushi was fresh, hot food was mouth watering and service was top notch. They also have udon and ramen station that you can order from. Overall, worth the price.

I had a great experience at Makino in Las Vegas. The sushi selection was fantastic—fresh, varied, and constantly replenished. The crab legs were a highlight too; I loved the flavor and quality, though I personally would have preferred them steamed instead of served cold. Even with that small preference, everything else was great. Great service, great value, and definitely a spot I’ll return to.

We always go to Makino here in California, Azusa and Irvine, this is the only one left. Very good food, quality of the fish, A++++++++. We would love to go back here again. Very friendly and attentive employees here. Lunch would be the best time, the only difference at night is just the crab legs. We will visit this place again. Highly recommended!

We take all our friends here. The sushi buffet is off the hook. It’s always fresh, and since it’s always busy, none of the sushi sits out for very long. They have several sushi chefs busily whipping up new batches, right before your eyes. If there is something you don’t see out just ask one of the chefs and they will make it for you. If you have that one friend who isn’t down for sushi, not to worry they have plenty of other piping hot dishes, salads and deserts. The staff is very helpful and attentive too. You’re going to love it here. It’s a locals favorite.
