If you have only ever been to the food truck outside of Chopper, you need to visit this tortilla shop! There are so many items that you can’t get at the truck. BEST AND MOST AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD IN NASHVILLE! I’ve lived in San Diego and had my fair share of Mexican food and this tops it! This place is a hole in the wall shop that makes their own tortillas, and curates their menus frequently. I got a golden mole last time I was there and it was amazing! Had some perfectly cooked softshell crab tacos along with a mushroom tostada. The flavors were deep and complex. Our meal came replete with an amuse bouche. Think fine dining food but with a welcoming and casual environment that expresses mastery of history as well as gastronomy sans pretension.
