The atmosphere as far as the aesthetic of this place is nice. Perhaps I’ve always been there when the staff seemed weirded out/perplexed that I’m asking questions about the menu, etc. No personality at all. The coffee that I ordered was actually really good. The muffin i always get for my daughter is absolutely delicious. This is why I’m giving 4 stars. It was very expensive compared to other places… but I get it, it’s a locally owned shop and I get that. A tip jar at the counter is a great idea, and I usually tip. But when the tip option is on the screen that you are using to pay, it is embarrassing when you don’t tip or don’t tip a lot. I’m sure they know how much you’re tipping. It took a good 10 minutes to get my order. I wasn’t in a hurry but I’ve been here multiple times and it seems to take a while. I do fear that the Starbucks may do some damage to this neat coffee shop. Maybe consider lowering the prices a bit and speeding up the service a bit. Staff personality doesn’t bother me as long as service and food is good. I’ll still frequent this place but this is review is for consideration of management.
