Just arrived from New York for my first time in Louisville… saw the reviews and needed to come! The man taking the orders spent so much time with each person- at first I was caught off guard and was looking around, waiting for people to start complaining – but each person happily waited for their personalized attention for their order- Which I was so grateful to experience. A warm smile- being from NY- I’m rushed- people are rushing me- people are not looking to provide that kind of experience, but this made my day!

You can travel many many miles and not find a more delightful down to earth cafe. Just as clean as a whistle, friendly and as tasty as can be. Thank goodness for google maps as it would be easy to miss.

David & Floyd we’re so welcoming! The atmosphere is open and freeing. As for the food, I am a fan of the sandwich & soup combo. The garden soup was so overwhelmingly flavorful with each bite and the sandwich fresh and crisp! I would recommend for lunch and dinner!

We stopped in for lunch while visiting Louisville. The food was great! The people there are fantastic, They took time to visit with us and all of their customers ❤️ The atmosphere was also beautiful. BEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICH OF MY LIFE! Seriously, it was amazing! And the cheesecake was delicious! This place is a real find in downtown Louisville. If it’s got a line out front, just be patient. It’s worth it!

We stopped by today for a chicken salad roll and a Reuben sandwich on amazing sourdough bread. The meat was lean and incredibly juicy and the secret sauce was so tasty. If your an Australian this is the perfect serving size.

Stopped here for a quick bite before our bourbon tour. Atmosphere was awesome loved the little/big space of this place. People were awesome and nice our food came out super quick! Our sandwich was delicious and the chili was tasty they had lots to choose from! We enjoyed visiting!

Everything was quality: tasty, and well-prepared. But as a person who is vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free … I had a choice between a couple of veggie burgers, a garden salad, or a vegetable soup. I chose the black bean burger, on a wheat bun (no wheat-free or gluten free bun option), and the burger was kind of thin. Also, healthy drinks was only water (Perrier available) — they mostly serve sodas and beers.

Great sandwiches and one of a kind service. We got the Tuesday special (beef with cheddar to dip in house mustard and jus) and chicken salad on wheat – an heirloom bread recipe we were told. They were great with our kids and “shamelessly bribed” them to behave well with the promise of chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious too. Just be ready to wait a few minutes longer you might expect to order in line at a busy eatery. They chatted with us and made us feel welcome and spent even more time checking in with their regulars. Very fast to get the food though. Great local gem, within walking distance to the Louisville Slugger museum/factory and the Science Center (also worth visits).
