The place is a bit run down, but the food was very good and the portions large. I didn’t double check but I think I was overcharged, but it doesn’t matter, overall it was a good place to grab some home style southern food. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the place in desperate need of renovations and deep cleaning.

Enjoyed a delicious meal after my nieces’ graduation . Staff was very helpful and courtesy . I noticed a sign that stated, “they were short staffed.” However, they did a good job with service. The food was hot and very delicious, I will be back. I had turkey wings with turnips and Mac n cheese, and my wife had the chicken wings with collards and fried okra

Absolutely loved the food! Whenever I come home to visit my family, we’re going to eat here again. I got the Yams, mac & cheese, and fried chicken strips. Everything was cook to perfection. Chicken was juicy. It didn’t take long for our food to come out. We asked to be seated in an area that didn’t have too many people so they let us pick where we wanted to be seated. The portions are large so you’ll probably have some food to take home too.

Just left this restaurant. I gave the food two stars because it was cold, they reheated it, the gravy was starchy, and the fried turkey was dry. My waitress Caleana (hope I spelled it right lol) was very welcoming and professional. As an owner, you should never serve cold food and always have someone over see out going entrees.

The service and atmosphere was great but the food was average. The whiting was not tender but the flavor was good. I had to send the chicken strips back because they were cooked too hard and stringy. The peach cobbler was cold and the presentation did not make the dish look inviting.

Was in town to visit family and friends. Also to participate in the Gospel Music Workshop of America conference being held for the first time ever in Greensboro, North Carolina. A wonderful place to dine for some soul food. Nice large space that has sit down dining, catering and pick up and go service. Whenever I come back I will come through.

Went in on a Friday night and was expecting it to be crowded with a wait time. There was not a wait time, and we eventually got sat. Our server came over with some great recommendations. This place is not something to expect walking in to be high end renovated and yes, it could be a little cleaner and up-to-date, but walking into that I just knew the food was going to be good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
