I’m torn on this review. Let me start off by saying that the owner and bartender that we met were fantastic. The drinks and small plates that we had were also amazing. But they need to work on the atmosphere. This place has so much history and SO much potential, but the lack of decor really takes away from the experience. A small game room with different LED bulbs in the chandelier (some bright white, some soft white) was really weird. Electric fireplaces tucked into real fireplaces with extension cords exposed. Nothing on the walls.

Stopped in to have a couple beverages and a small bite to eat. Could not have loved this place more!! The bartender, Rachel, was super friendly, the drinks were delicious, and the Gouda Bacon Dip was to die for! They have limited hours, but it’s definitely worth a stop. The live music was also a wonderful perk.

The drinks were pretty good, nice bartender, and good vibes with a small crowd on a Sunday night. I think the house and the location are very cool…it just seems like something with the ambience is a bit off. Maybe I’m picky, but I see a huge opportunity to bring in antique tables and chairs, decorate the walls, and really cultivate a fabulous ambience in here. To be clear, I’m sure I’ll be back and I’m not saying don’t visit, because I think it is great for Spring Hill to have a cocktail bar. I just feel like it could really be made to feel like a special experience with some decor or furniture that feels a little higher end or “handpicked” for the space I guess is what I’m trying to say. I didn’t have an opportunity to try the food this time, but the food menu did look really good!

Very quaint ambiance, and friendly wait staff. The front desk hostess wasn’t overly warm or friendly. The food tasted good, but what lost a star in the rating was the chicken was overcooked and dry, and the collard greens dip appetizer was served warm not hot, despite being warned to not touch the baking dish because it was hot. Overall it was good, but nothing special to make me want to add it to the frequent rotation list, but keep it on the occasional list

Lovely local restaurant for a nice night out to celebrate or just enjoy good food with your favorite people. This is a must visit while in Spring Hill! They have a fabulous selection on their menu of classics with a fun spin. Daily chef specials- delicious! A great bar with a good cocktail menu and fabulous bartender. The dessert menu has mouth watering options and the vibe is cozy and nice. They also offer Coke products and Dr. Pepper from the fountain. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was all so delicious! And I’m an atmosphere person at restaurants, the Mockingbird has a good atmosphere and people that make you feel at home when you walk in the door. They have several great seating areas with space for groups of all sizes- large family or a quite dinner alone.

6 in our party & we all loved it! Quaint environment, so fun. Food was good, nice presentation, friendly staff. We get so bored with the typical chains. So I really enjoyed the environment & some foods that aren’t in most places such as friend green tomatoes. Rooms feel private, so catching up with old friends there was very nice. Nothing bad to say.

A gem, hidden in plain sight. The menu has a great variety, but everything nods to southern food. Delicious appetizers, sizable main dishes, and crafted desserts. Expect to spend $75-80 without alcohol, but it’s worth every penny.
