Truly my most treasured place. They are truly the epitome of great food, friendliest staff, and their weren’t enough stars to truly do this place justice. I will miss these ladies( and ‘Carlos and Sam’ also). They have been my family away from home and are genuinely a caring family establishment that has done so much for the community together as a family and as a team. I will miss my ‘Wib Wednesday’.., people of North Port- you are so blessed to have this place at your beck and call. Support them please, as they have done so much for so many.

A true hidden gem, very inviting Bistro, very comfortable atmosphere staffed by wonderful people. The cuisine is outstanding with that home cooked deliciousness. We sampled the Lobster Bisque and Creamy Mushroom soup, both flavorful and an excellent introduction to the rest of the menu. We had the Veal Madeira and the Baby Back Rib special. The Veal was cooked perfectly, freshly pounded, not too thin and coated and seasoned to perfection, tender and full of flavor, served on top of al dente pasta. The ribs were tender, juicy and had a large choice of sauces. We decided on the honey garlic which was similar to a Carolina mustard sauce, very nice blend, not too sweet and just the right amount of garlic. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Nice selection of beer and wine. This gem is off the main road, find it, you will love it!

OMG!! What a gem of a place. Food, service, decor, ..the whole package. Very good menu of Italian favorites, great selection of wines, and cold beer on tap. Servers were friendly and made sure you didn’t need anything. I’m can’t say enough other than I will probably be back more often than I should. The ribs I ordered were tender and flavorful. Best meal I have had since being here in Florida. The people of North Port and Port Charlotte are so lucky to have this hidden gem of a place in their backyards. Only had 5 stars to give would have given more. Highly encourage the locals to support their local businesses like this one. Best wishes to this place for longevity.

Such a great little place. Always clean and friendly. Tonight we had the special Fish N Chips- very good, lightly battered and crispy, Cole slaw and fries & Shrimp Init, perfectly done with just the amount of spiciness! Wait staff was super attentive and on the ball!

Bema J’s Bistro is a great spot to grab a quiet and delicious lunch. Menu is diverse, food is fresh, and the service is always terrific. We had the Ahi Tuna salad this visit, which was the special of the day, and it was outstanding.

Have not been there in 2 years. First no baked potato. Told waitress we had dining card did not realize we did not get discount till we left. My fish and chips were just ok but had to ask 3 times for vinegar and they did not have malt. My husbands chicken francais was lousy. Chicken was tough and dry and hard to cut. Their wine was $10 a glass. Will never go again. Bill $75 before tip. No appetizers just 3 glasses of wine and to meals. Can think of so many restaurants i would rather spend my money at. My fish and chips were expensive for what you got. Never. Never again
