Mae’s Cafe and Bakery is open seven day per week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast is served until close. Bakery is available for special orders and take out until 2:30. Patio seating in good weather, patio is pet-friendly. For catering and special events please email us from our website. Special events room in the upstairs loft is available for reservation.

Oh My Gosh!! What a gem! The wait staff was so sweet. We were seated right away and taken care of immediately! The coffee was so good and before we knew it the food was out. Everything was delicious from the eggs to the French toast on house made cinnamon swirl bread!! We all grabbed baked goodies from the case on the way out that we’re also delicious. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. I went for breakfast at this sit down cafe, and was not disappointed. First, the vibe. Very Maine, very comforting. I sat in a corner booth with real cushions and it was so cozy. Second, the staff. Very friendly and personable. Never had to ask for a refill on my coffee. Even helped me decide on my meal. And with that, the third, food. I got the sagadahoc bennie that came with home fries. Not your typical home fries. Nice spice to them, not overcooked. The bennie was so flavorful. The smoked salmon was fantastic. The hollandaise sauce was just sweet enough. I highly recommend this place. It will not disappoint.

My wife and I ordered omelettes. Let just say there was plenty of egg but little substance in them. Mine was supposed to have bacon in it. I got maybe 4-5 small pieces, not even enough for a half a piece of bacon. It was not worth the money. The home fries were barely luke warm and looked as though they had been out for a few hours, not fresh at all. This place was so much better 3 years ago. We will not be going back there.

The cutest place with amazing food and service! I ordered an omelette and pancakes and everything was exceptional. The sourdough toast was homemade, home fries were so flavorful, omelette was super fluffy, and the pancakes were melt-in-your-mouth. On top of that, our server Gerry was lovely!!
